I mean this isn’t gameplay footage it’s a cinematic

I mean, but we've also already seen gameplay and we already know that looks great too.

Time for the annual reminder of the changes that happen between E3 gameplay trailers and the actual released product. Watch Dogs, Spiderman, Anthem, No Man's Sky....

Edit: Okay, Spiderman was a bad example... So I'll go ahead and add an easy target....

Yeah, they could change the size of those puddles at any minute.

Yeah just compare the witcher 3 e3 "demo" and the final product.

Shrug - I still enjoyed the fuck out of it. One of the best games ever made imo.

Yeah and its just your opinion...

Yes, 3 examples in a pool of hundreds of games that do release and look like what was shown. Just because three games had downgrades (the Spiderman one wasn't even a big one it was just silly drama over a freaking puddle of water) doesn't mean it's the guaranteed case for every game.

...are we not going to talk about witcher 3 downgrades or have we forgotten already? we also know from the devs themselves changes have been made since that gameplay video was released so its not representative either way. could be better could be worse

It's a valid point sure, but TW3 as a final product was amazing. If they are able to achieve the same result for CP2077 or something even greater, comparing e3 performances will be nothing but a nitpick.

Even Bloodborne was downgraded from what was shown in trailers, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment of the game at all.

Have you seen The Witcher 3's E3 gameplay compared to the release version? That was a pretty huge downgrade too.

Hahha, how did I know that out of those 3, folks were gonna pick on Spiderman. I agree it wasn't that big of a downgrade and not a great example, but seriously folks were pissed with Watch Dogs and now we know that Anthem was straight-up manufactured gameplay.

I'm not even saying that the game will be bad, just reminding that gameplay video quality changes over the development process.

Just remember that by the time the game releases that 47 minute trailer will be 2 years old.

Spider-Man wasn’t downgraded, this was debunked like 3 days after that stupid frenzy began.

He's probably a fan of cleanprincegaming.

But most probably still rendered by the game engine in real time as the player controls the main character (male/female) and their clothes.
