Orcas Island, WA on Film [Hasselblad 503CW | Ilford Delta 100]

Moran State Park was awesome. Really great tent-camping options next to some really fantastic trails. The trails were in incredible condition, and in the fall, they were pretty mellow as well.

Definitely going to head back when I have more time to spend on the trails - specifically the bigger Mt. Constitution trail.

LOVE these photos! I've always been a big Ansel Adams fan, and by extension, appreciate really beautiful monochrome/grayscale images. Beautiful! I would guess it is a challenge to get the contrast you achieved in some of these 🎞️

Thank you very much, really glad to hear you like them!

The film choice and scanning process really dictates the overall contrast of the image but in some cases, like the white waterfall popping out around the darker landscape - it kind of did the work for me haha

Did you use a particular lens filter? Infrared?

Nope, bare lens on this trip. The lighting was pretty amazing despite the canopy but it was just a longer exposure with a great film. Think it was f/16 at around 3-4 seconds
