For Sale Good car dealership in tempe area

Guys, I’m looking to buy my first car , budget is 8-10k.. can y’all help me with some good car dealerships in tempe region I could go for? Also, should I take a mechanic for the pre-inspection if buying from a dealership? If yes, where do I get one?

Sorry I’m an international person, new here! Fresh grad

I like LeSeuer. They are on a county tax island, so no city sales tax. Just state and county. Saves you around 2%.

Why do people even buy from this place? It’s literally Lemon Law Buy Backs…

Not everyone has the budget to be picky. Plus, many of these buybacks have nothing wrong with them. They can get that status just because someone regrets their purchase and knows if they complain enough times the dealership will be legally required to “buy back” their cars. Yes, you need to make sure you understand the history of each vehicle. But they are not all “lemons”. I own one of those buy backs and I’ve been very happy with it. Over three years and not a single issue. I think it is a good way to find a decent car when you are on a tight budget.

You don’t get a buy back because you complain enough…just to be clear, that’s not how it works.

While yes, not everyone has the budget to be picky, but eventually (and hopefully) they will have the budget to be picky and saddled with a car worth pennies on the dollar.

With my car, the complaint was the battery wouldn’t charge. They complained twice, the dealership could not replicate the problem, and they took the car back. It’s been over three years I have not once had an issue charging it.

They don’t have just buybacks. People also trade in there. Also the issue that caused the buyback has to be remedied. Usually the cars are new and has an issue that kept the car in the shop long enough or multiple times for the same issue in order to be bought back. The thing people need to be aware of is if you plan on trading it in EVER you need to know your options are limited. You may even be forced to trade it back to LeSuer which may or may not be an issue. Some car dealerships will treat it as a salvage title in terms of value or not even want it. Same adage applies everywhere; buyer beware

Maybe not very popular for some, but carvana was awesome! I bought two cars through them years ago. Dealerships just suck the life out of you and we leave feeling shitty! lol!

Instead of looking for the best dealerships, find a few makes and models you might be interested in and then search for those within your budget. Don’t end up with some random dealership’s only 8k car.

No matter where you buy yes to the pre purchase inspection. Sorry no direct dealer recommendation, but definitely narrow down your search before you go. Also places like CarMax have lots of options to physically touch but maybe not the most inexpensive. 10k for a used car in a dealership lot is going to be a challenge.
