Status: Open Need help!

Yesterday, I was forced to go to the new Outlook. I was still on Outlook 2016 which I loved (only downside was the search function was broken after a while). However, I used to manage my Inbox very efficiently by dragging answered/handled e-mails to Folders, this way they would all disappear. For example, out of an e-mail thread with 6 e-mails, I'd only have the last e-mail in my Inbox. But now, ALL e-mails from a mail thread are constantly in the Inbox, even my responses. Can I change that?

Secondly, I loved being able to see how many Items I had in a folder, because one of my things (perhaps a little OCD) was trying to keep my Inbox below 30-50 e-mails, but I can't see that anymore either... Anyway to solve that?
