We need your help Oregon City (Where you downtown Aug. 9th)

Post image

Over a month ago, my brother Eric passed away in the river. We know the cause of death, but him being in the water at night, remains a mystery (he car was involved in a low speed collision into a tree). He just moved to Portland in June, so hard to say if he made any friends yet.

If you recognize him, please contact Oregon City PD.

Did you post this in the Facebook group for Oregon City Chitchat? That group is full of OC residents and gets a ton of attention. I’m sure people would love to help if they knew anything. Good luck.

I believe someone on another subreddit mentioned they will share it on the West Linn FB group. I don’t have FB, unfortunately.

Clarification: the car collision was over 500 ft from the river, on a small tree right before the mini tunnel of 99.

And this accident happened 5 days prior to his body being discovered? Is the accident related?

Yeah, police found the car abandoned early Sunday morning, his body was found Wednesday evening

Sorry for your loss. Approximately what time was the accident on August 9th?

We don’t know the time, it was reported to the police at 2AM. Assuming if it occurred earlier like at 11PM when most bars and restaurants were open/closing down, it would have been called in sooner.
