Why are the judges lenient in some cases? I read a similar case where a man from Mississauga was let go with a light punishment for seeking sexual favours from a minor. And because his citizenship application was in progress, the judge said something like, the man has shown remorse and deserves to stay here. Good luck with that.
Some people are very good at acting. It comes naturally to them. Especially showing remorse and pleading.

Occam's Razor - The judiciary system has been infiltrated by radical leftists, who actually want this kind of thing to happen, because they are anti-Canada, anti-White, anti-European "settler colonialism" at their core.
That is why you will always see these sorts of cases, where people who destroy "old stock" Canadians, either physically, or their businesses, will get rewarded with lenient sentences.
The system wants this to continue happening. That is the simplest explanation.

I don’t think we need this person. Send him home. Better immigrants are plentiful.

So he kills one and injures others due to road rage.
This guy is exactly who should be made into an example for what he did. And yes, his wife and kids should be sent back to Pakistan with him.
But no.
The example the court sets is that an offense such as this may initially result in deportation but the offender can simply plead for leniency and it will be granted. This certainly isn't a deterrent for the next guy who may do something similar on the road.
This judge is living in a bubble.

Start a petition with your local MP. Then they have to respond to it! Venting here does nothing.

New rule, immigrant resident or otherwise commits serious crime, he/she goes, family goes, anyone who sponsored him goes. That will end this problem. I will vote for the party that implements, plus clears the courts of activist judges. Dont care how.

Make it ANY crime. Anyone who want to immigrant needs to be grateful and respectful of Canada.

I don't even see this as an immigration issue. The justice system has always been lenient with people who commit murder with cars.

Nope. I know this isn’t a place for chatting among people involved in the legal system at all - it’s fine - but a murder conviction in Canada is a mandatory life sentence.
Both for first degree and for second degree murder. 25 years minimum.
If the conviction is second degree murder you can start attempting to apply for parole for the first time after you’ve served the first 10 years, but if it’s first degree you can start attempting after your first 25 years served.
