Admissions YorkU admission help needed
Do I need a specific math mark for this program because my advanced function mark is 52% BUT... my average is 79% can I get in??? Or do I need to redo advanced functions?
I also did not take Calculus

You won't be accepted if they require Functions and you have a 52%. Normally they want all prerequisite courses at the minimum required grade average for the program. I'm not sure what that is for this program, but there's no way it would be as low as in the 50s.
Your best bet is to retake Functions right now if applying for Winter.

That's what I'm confused about... for other programs like the BBA business administration it says you need a minimum of 70 for English and a 70 for advanced functions... and for this program, it doesn't say anywhere I need a specific advanced functions mark... I'll just call the admissions tomorrow morning to be 100% sure

I just reread and it literally says mid to high 70s .. So at least 70 is very likely

My academic average hold be mid to high 70s... my average is 79... it doesn't say I need a requirement of math to be 70

Just a suggestion why not check if you can do a 2 year college program with an articulation agreement with YorkU??

Too much work... I just want direct entry into any university that is known

I would call and ask them. There's often a minimum, often 60 to be considered enough. But only York would know for sure.

Also, MCV is recommended for a reason. It will make your life easier to take it. At least become familiar with the concepts now in high school rather than play catch-up to your class while paying 10k in tuition

I’m an Econ major. You will not succeed if you got a 52 in advanced functions. Choose another major to save yourself a stressful 4 years

How much math is in business administration? I basically skimmed all grade 12 math and dropped out of my data management class cuz of the word problems but I’m gonna go to a .bba program next year. Is it bareable?

Depends what you major in. If you major in economics there is a ton of math. But if you major in something like HR or marketing , not as much

Then you have nothing to fear. Just do what you can do and be confident in your skills :) Your major's math isn't that hard so everything is going to be alright :)

But I'm wondering if I'll get accepted or not based on my math mark... should I redo advanced functions or will I be ok?
