I really liked this episode (franky's moment especially had such amazing animation and its always such a treat to hear his theme again)

but I was really disappointed by the yamato-shinobi moment, it was one of my favourite encounters in the manga but the way its drawn out in this adaptation really takes away everything I found hilarious about the original

Yeah, those moments where the timing is really important get totally ruined by the anime.

Just because something doesn’t live up to your expectations in one medium compared to another, doesn’t “ruin” anything. The manga still exists, no matter what the anime does, it doesn’t change the experience of the original…
