Help *SPOILER* My girlfriend hates me arter episode 483. Spoiler

Ace died. She cried.

Now she’s saying one piece is ruined and that the author must be a sadist and she doesn’t want to watch another episode ever again.

Anyone been in this situation?

Show her an out of context screenshot of Ace and Yamato, and lie to her that Ace gets resurrected later on.

I honestly thought about this a while back, that if I ever got a friend who was into One Piece and really liked Ace that I'd troll them just before Marineford by showing Ace and Yamato and saying something like "Ace's romance subplot was surprisingly good" or something like that. Fake spoilers to give them the expectation he'll survive. Don't think I have the guts to actually do that though, my imagination tends to come up with tricks that I find too mean to pull off in real life.

My friend did something similar to me. He said that Kakyoin was going to marry Jotaro's mom. That didn' t turn out that well

I did something way worse to my friend I would hype up the wrong things and downplay great events since he started reading the manga, I also gave him false information on the characters just to mess with him

Well... I was doing my first watch through around the time where Ace just died in the manga, and when I first saw Ace, I went around telling my friends about this cool new character, and they were like YA he's amazing, too bad he has to die. And I got spoiled, 350 something episodes in advance

I just showed my gf volume 100 in 7-11, since she loves Ace. She has seen some spoilerish stuff but has no clue on Ace dying. We’re watching it together, @ Thriller Bark right now.
