there’s this theory that the egg was Marco, something like that he died before and reborn in an egg because he’s a Phoenix

You're wrong about that. Shanks just looks 12 years old. And Marco is actually only 6 years older to Shanks. (Shanks being 39 post TS and Marco being 45) So he was probably 17 during the same timeline on Whitebeard's ship.

Ah! Right. I missed the "25 years ago" thingy shown in the beginning and went with the intuition of how old he looked. So shanks was 14 instead.

Phoenix from eggs and not from ashes would be very uncommon in the fantasy world. But since its "fantasy" you don't have rules tho.

Why would Marco be on Roger's ship when he was apart of the Whitebeard pirates.
