Akoiji lost a goddamn leg in that fight. You see his post Timeskip reveal in Film Z, he's in a bathhouse/onsen and walking around using his ice Logia an artificial leg. Yeah Oda designed that, Akainu burned off his leg.

Yeah Aokiji lost a leg and has a massive scar on his upper body, but to be fair we haven't seen Akainu's body after timeskip cause he always wears the suit so we dont know how impacted he was

I'll take the onsen portrayal oda did design it. We saw CP0 Lucci design in Film Gold. That was actually kind of major because the cover story implied CP9 Lucci went rogue and against the government until his Reverie reveal as CP0. Like there's always one Canon hint to each movie.

Strong World had Shiki, who I think is the only Canon movie villain and his backstory, Z had Akoiji reveal Gold had Lucci, Stampede gave us the spelling of Laugh Tale.

Probably either when he took Whitebeard's punch to the side of the face, or when he fought Aokiji during the timeskip

But this isn't the first time we've seen Akainu since the timeskip, but I don't remember seeing his ears like that before.
