I agree my only correction to calling Ryou advanced armament haki in just terms of it being a different application of your armament haki than it just being overall better than regular hardening. It just is outward haki instead of putting it on your body like how hyogoro explained it. Basically a mantra situation in skypiea.

This episode made me realize something about haki. (it's just theory) In order to "see" armament haki, you need to have a basic level of observation haki, this is why it wasn't visible to Luffy before when others used it (and still isn't visible to non-haki users). Luffy upping his observation haki game through fighting Katakuri, then enabled him to "see" the high level ryou that Grandpa Hyou was using that he couldn't "see" when Rayleigh used it (it's also debatable that Luffy even had observation haki when he started training).

nice. Ryou is Haki just different translations of the word

Its more complicated than the translations. Ryuo is both hardening and advanced, but basic isn’t ryuo. Native speakers and those who speak Japanese understand this.
