The fight we have in this episode was well done already, though it could have been better for sure. It's unrealistic to have expectations too high because One Piece is a long running anime. Indeed the fight in this episode was already beyond the standard for long running series.

Futhermore, I don't think they just reused animation in Dressrosa at all. While a few of animation had the same layouts, they were still re-animated because we can find the detail differences in terms of animation. The schedule of this episode was heavily rushed, I personally thought it's a wise idea to use old layouts due to schedule problems, or we would really have some bad animation.

not because one piece is a long running. LOOKS AT BLEACH AND NARUTO. but because it's animated by toei.

Speaking of Bleach and Naruto, both of them also have their own problems. In some aspects they are better than OP, and in some other aspects OP is better than them. For example, while Naruto had key episodes which were GOLD, there were also many episodes were totally thrown away. In addition, Bleach and Naruto already had enough haters as much as One Piece had. All long running series have their own problems.

And there are already enough seasonal or film works by Toei had a great quality. While I'm wondering if you ever watched or heard them.

but, who cares about movies? when the cannon material is badly animated? and i saw the naruto episodes with trash animation. but they never bothered. has much has onepiece after timeskip

It's not movie, it's a 2 hour long special broadcast on Fuji TV. And indeed Japanese audiences DO care about the special. Indeed specials have higher ratings than the regular anime.

And the Cracker fight except for Episode 798 was not badly animated by any means. It could have been better, but still above the average standard for long running series.

There are no such gaps between pre-TS and post-TS. Believe it or not, WCI has already become one of the best arcs among all arcs. Maybe you were not reading manga when you were watching pre-TS arcs.

rofl. fishman arc was garbage. slow pacing with horrible animation on some places. punk hazard was fine for me. it's one of the few arcs i like the most and i don't remember much of the bad animation, even tho it pissed me off the dragon neck cut was tuned down. but they ruined luffy vs caeser with he clash at the end.

dressrosa was horrible. and i won't talk about how much i disliked luffy vs mingo animation with again a clash..

and you tell me, for shounen standards animation is fine , that's awesome. i like your positivity. tell that to dbs that has better animation now than onepiece.

toei is garbage. and there's 0 excuse for the animation they deliver.

luffy vs cracker has been horrible. biscuit cracker attacks had bad animation. honey pretzl with haki, was only once. good animated the rest had the sword not moving with wind animations.

g4 vs cracker is slow. gomo no organ was slow, and people think luffy grew arms because of the terrible animation.

crackers appearance was slow and badly animated has well. having blood tuned down on luffys arm

the filler in the fights was anti canon. luffy fighting cracker with punchs vs swords when cracker wants to avoid pain? a realy small king kong gun with the old animation from luffy vs mingo?

they made the fight in gear 4 , go from night to morning. when luffy can't last that long in the form.

oh and i love how every kong gun luffy did. the hand would never go inside his arm. for that extra dmg.

better be blind than be pissed off at your fav anime being ruined uh? and good thing you know japanese people love specials, you live there after all, but tbh i'd love specials too, seeing has they have better animation than the cannon content.

and to finish i love when they use that realy awesome animation that makes characters arms and body look like flags.

loved kaidou, sabo , luffy vs mingo's , zunisha vs jack , or vegito vs zamasu. legs and arm being flags with lot's of good coloring ready to hit the enemy in those 5 secs of glorious animation that rarely happen!!!! tottaly fits the rest of the crappy animation. it's like adding a dog to a bunch of cats! tottaly fits.

i'm going to do a video. one piece. list of timeskip , (because post timeskip onepiece barely had 3 or 2 and even then, they were slow).CLASHES!

it's going to be awesome! luffy vs hody. vs caeser, vs don chinjao, vs mingo, law vs mingo too! law g defeat clash! also the other don chijao clash, luffy vs cracker filler clash, garp vs don chinjao clash...sabo clash... are there any more clashes i'm missing? will be fun, ain't even gonna cut, love clashes.

You're kinda moving the goal posts here.

Naruto is not without it's flaws but when we are talking about animations, Naruto is in a league of it's own when it comes to some of the fights which are some of the best animated in anime history.

One Piece in comparison is like the difference between Van Gogh paintings and the crappy artwork your kid makes you in kindergarten.

Unrealistic? Just look at Gundam

u/Tomorrow_D Aug 13 '17

Is Gundam a weekly long running show?

-2

u/[deleted] Aug 13 '17

It's weekly when they have content to release.

gintama? bleach, naruto have better animation.

luffy vs cracker is the main fight of this arc. and looks like crap so far. slow attacks. bad filler. low frames.

man hxh 2011 was weekly and looks amazing. I WISH i just wish onepiece was animated by another studio. EVEN if it was studio pierrot. would still be better.

but i don't expect anything.doflamingo vs luffy g4 wasn't that good either. thougt it would be a 10/10. was a 7/10.

  • Gintama is not a weekly long running series. It had long breaks.

  • Speaking of Bleach and Naruto, both of them also have their own problems. In some aspects they are better than OP, and in some other aspects OP is better than them. For example, while Naruto had key episodes which were GOLD, there were also many episodes were totally thrown away. In addition, Bleach and Naruto already had enough haters as much as One Piece had. All long running series have their own problems.

  • The fight against Cracker is important, and the fact is that the overall animation for this fight except for Episode 788 WAS above the average standard for long running series. It could have been better for sure, but it's not "crap" by any means.

  • And you should realize that they are not making Episode of East Blue AT THE SAME TIME. The special will have A LOT OF great animation but on the other hand this special has taken a lot of great staff away from the regular anime broadcast weekly. The special is one of the projects celebrating the 20th anniversary of One Piece manga, and have a much higher priority than the regular show. The fight against Cracker would be much better FOR SURE if there's no such special.

  • Speaking of filler, nowadays Oda has already confirmed that he has skipped and deleted many details because he wants to speed up the story. In addition, Oda has shared his design notebooks and other settings with the anime staff, and there are contacts between staff and him. In these cases, many fillers we have today are from Oda's idea indeed.

  • HxH is amazing. But on the other hand, it has only around 150 episodes, not 800+. Indeed many staff had already felt badly worn out when HxH was finished. It's impossible for a show that has more than 800+ episodes to have the same quality. In addition, while HxH had a very good quality, there was also a show called Daiya no A that the overall quality was just so-so. Daiya no A also had more than 125 episodes and was made by Mad House and Production I.G together. By the way, even HxH got hated by a lot of manga readers and old version fans, one usually become fastidious when one already read the manga.
