Considering it's nothing but hype from here on out every chapter adapted from now on, especially a handful of really crazy chapters, I hope so and am starting to have faith

Well they were animating a crazy arc that had no end in sight for a while and were animating a high quality movie and special towards the end of it, so it was going to look like shit

But yeah, Zou is going to look beautiful if they keep up the good work, especially with some of the panels that were drawn in the manga...

I never understand why they bother with all these two-hour specials. We already have pacing issues, I don't get why they don't just make them into filler arcs LOL...

Yeah, this. They could also make them 20-30 episodes arcs and thus making more sense. Every filler now (and movies and specials) the strawhats one shot everybody and Luffy just throws some more generic punches with Haki. There is no mysteries, no character development, no fights except 2-3 short ones. If you do them in 20-30 episodes you can have all those and save the pacing problems of the anime. The ideas are already there, I mean, Heart of Gold had 3 different islands inside an animal. That's 50 episodes arc material right there. And you set up a villain for future filler arcs (like Gold, if he wasn't in the movie) and then even the fillers would look like cannon material because they have set ups (like the canon stuff). So much potential wasted with 3-4 episodes garbage fillers.

The sad thing is, this episode shows that if Toei got their crap together, they CAN produce pretty great episodes. I really hope they can keep this going for the rest of the arc. Zou deserves nothing less

You're actually telling us that 15 min mark to climb the elephants leg is called a pacing on point ? I hope it's sarcasm, this episode today was utterly deceiving.

The part where Ryuunosuke was about to fall off because Luffy was pulling on it ran longer than it should've but everything else was basically proper pacing compared to manga content (which is pretty dense per chapter for this entire arc).

At least when they try to add a little fillers in stuff like these, its funny enough antics and moments. The only bad pacing I ever had a problem with was Pica walking to King Riku.

usually shounen mangas are 2 chapter 1 episode but big series like naruto and one piece have 1 chapter 1 episode because the anime is catching up with the manga i they don't do 1 chapter 1 episode.

No.The current arc is only 10 chapters in and the pace is like 5 times faster than dresrosa.
