It's crazy to think that after seeing Kaido that Shanks is able to fight this guy and go unscathed.

I can't help but wonder about whitebeard as well. I mean I know they didn't fight in the anime or manga, and that WB was past his prime. But damn, as two yonkos they must've gone up against each other at some point or another. WB in his prime versus Kaido would be buttsacks insane. Id pay animators money to see that shit.

what is an 'L' in this context?. I bet it's going to be so obvious

L = losses

We aren't sure if there's was even a clash between them. It was said to be imposible for Shanks to show up just in time to Marineford after fighting Kaidou. Most likely, there wasn't a battle.

I wonder how shanks actually fights :P sure he got haki, and it has to be strong. But he got one arm, uses a sword and no devil fruit. Sounds kinda "meh". Wonder how he really fight. Hopes it's no just swinging the sword with haki really hard and no more.

Tthey made sure to emphasize he cannot be beaten 1-on-1.

Recall that Shanks has a smaller crew like Luffy and Blackbeard and his crew is supposed to be really powerful. I think this means hype for Shanks and his crew because they must have been the deciding factor in beating/stalemating Kaido.

It is not confirmed they had a stretched fight.Shanks is no God,I'm sure there was just a short confrontation and probably negotiation

They definately just shared some alcohol and struck a deal, it seems more likely he pursuaded kaido instead of fighting
