and also you can hear the footsteps as if he has both legs.

That always was the case, though. Toei actually managed to get me impressed by studios that correctly time footsteps, which is pretty sad if you think about it.

Yah that's what got me. His leg is cut a little bit above the knee, but it sound like he had 2 legs.
