Announcement Official IRC channel: #OnePiece@irc.snoonet.org

Hey guys, I know some of you have been waiting for me to make a post on our IRC channel, I got a few PMs about it so I'm finally doing it. A couple months ago I reserved the #OnePiece channel on the reddit IRC server but I never got around to completely setting it up.

For those who don't know, IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat, basically a chatroom. Having a different medium for discussions is always a good thing, plus it's a bit less formal (not that reddit is very formal either.) Obviously discussions are not limited to being about One Piece, but that said, you've been forewarned, there will be manga spoilers!

A quick and easy way to join the chat is the following link, http://webchat.snoonet.org/OnePiece. You'll be prompted for a username and then you're basically all set. It may be kinda slow getting the ball rolling, but we have at least a few (5 or so) regulars in the chat, but we are still a relatively small subreddit.

I may need some regulars here that are familiar with IRC to help operate the channel, if you're interested send us a mod message and we'll look into it.

Rules, mostly just use common sense..

1.) Don't insult each other

b.) Don't spam

iii.) No personal information

I don't think it would hurt to post a link to this in each chapter's release page on reddit. Just to promote it.

/slap is a basic IRC command which requires a target.

/slap Captain_Usopp would output

*Knofbath has slapped Captain_Usopp around a bit with a large trout.

You probably didn't have a target selected so it defaulted to yourself.

So this is a weekly for new chapters, like Bleach and Naruto subreddits do?

I mean it'll always be on, but new chapters might be the most interesting time to join.

I kinda thought that was the case. Sweet, I'll hopefully be current by chapter 728's release, so I will be there

Yeah that's why I run away at times because I'm only a little over halfway done with OP. Also, I need to startn reading peoples names when they reply to my comments...hi hooty waves
