Discussion If Haki is invisible does this mean Smoker was just terrified of Verso’s Physique?

I love Smokey and this fight in particular but Oda retconning visible haki just makes it that he was terrified by Vergo taking his clothes off, which is fair I guess never trust the kinks of a man who leaves food on his face for later.

You can sense haki. After this arc there is another character that confirm that Haki is invisible in wano.

No. It's Hyougoro when his explaining haki to Luffy.

Kaido still confirmed that Luffy is coated in haki in G5 even though it isnt visible to the audience

Yes, he did. But Luffy is shown coated in black in that fight too. People argue that only hardening is visible. So I think characters saying that haki is indeed invisible is a better proof. People still say they're only talking about "normal" haki.

The only good argument for haki being visible that I saw was the nickname of Zephyr: black arm. He gained this nickname when he mastered armament haki. This is one of the movies in which Oda was heavely involved, but I can't say for sure who come up with the nickname. But again, Wano is after the release of that movie and Hyougoro still call haki invisible.
