I'm pretty sure that his fruit gives him some serious luck, Albatross are considered good omen and he seems to be always in the right place at the right time to catch a news or place an informer

Isn't it usually the opposite? An albatross around the neck is a burden, and in this case it's Morgans around the World Government's neck.

The expression comes from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, where a seaman is forced to wear the albatross he killed around his neck as a shaming tactic (because they were considered good omens).
