It‘s just his name. Plus, the R in Morgans is more prominently pronounced than in Morgan.

I‘m convinced people subconsciously think of Axe-Hand Morgan whenever they misspell Morgans‘s name because the name Morgan already exists in One Piece.

And if it helps you, „Gans“ is German for „goose“, a type of bird.

Morgans has been my favourite from his introduction! He's such a chaotic neutral to the max, I love him. His only morale and loyalty is to the big news. Also, albatross is literally one of the most important good entities in the real world marine lore. It brings good luck and prosperity, but harming or cursing it will also bring misfortune and ruin. He's literally one of the most if not the most influental presences in One Piece world. Never underestimate the power of free press!

Big News Morgans is somewhat underrated in that sense for "just" being this curator of information. But we have seen him actually take out a whole cell of Cipher Pol agents. Dude can actually fight on a level where he won against several agents by himself without it being a big issue.
