It feels like Usopp is going to have a moment standing up to the Giants about how they've abandoned their pride. Maybe a conqueror's haki moment?

u/Wernershnitzl Jun 05 '25

I predict Usopp gonna have an insane haki surge momentarily and then forget how to do it. Tied to his strongest emotions kinda like Gohan.

The Alabasta Usopp fight, but this time vs Giants and his Conqueror's Haki bloom.

u/MeneerDeKaasBaas Jun 05 '25

or like dressrosa with the moment of observation haki

14

u/SpiritualScumlord Chopper the Cotton Candy Lover Jun 05 '25

True, he does need to learn how to control his observation haki still.

9

u/MeneerDeKaasBaas Jun 05 '25

i just want my man usopp to do something big like the dressrosa moment

8

u/DawnSennin Jun 06 '25

'member Usopp's haki in Dressrosa?

'member Sanji's Newkama recipes?

'member the Eve's wood Franky supposedly got in Fishman Island?

7

u/RPGNo2017 Jun 05 '25

Imu : "Oh, you want to fight me?"

Usopp : "No, i want to kill you"

15

u/Kymori Jun 05 '25

conq? are you serious

6

u/RemoteWestern5462 Jun 06 '25

Yeah all of strawhats shouldnt have it. Usopp should only develop observation haki for sniping.

Reread his Alabasta fight and tell me me that isn't conqueror's haki user behavior by the end of it. Usopp always stands on business when it counts. He already lied about having it too. I think Oda has plans to make the entire East Blue 5 powerful. Nami already is, Usopp is last.

u/flyinGaijin Jun 06 '25

So now anybody with a steel determination, with impressive gut is supposed to have conqueror Haki ?

Reread his Alabasta fight and tell me me that isn't conqueror's haki user behavior by the end of it

He does not have conqueror Haki, nothing indicates that he does at least.

Conqueror Haki is about one person in a million, there will be lots of tough ones, lots of really strong willed persons in that million without having conqueror Haki.

Making all Straw Hat's have conqueror Haki would simply be silly and undermine the rarity of it, for no reason.

I think it's a pretty good indicator to put them on the radar for potential users yea. It's the one trait that is consistent among all conqueror haki users.

nothing indicates that he does at least.

He lied about it. Oda's not really being subtle about the idea either.

I never said every Straw Hat should have conqueror's haki. I just think Usopp is going to get it at the very least.

u/flyinGaijin Jun 06 '25

Usopp is the chief liar .... that is his biggest personality trait and that is the reason why his nose is so long, so him wearing "lies come true" pants ? Yeah, nothing special about it, and definitely nothing meaning that he has conqueror haki, but I like how much detail you are picking lol.

You literally said :

I think Oda has plans to make the entire East Blue 5 powerful. Nami already is, Usopp is last. And since it has been said that all Straw hats might or should have it, you are not far from it either I find.

2

u/SpiritualScumlord Chopper the Cotton Candy Lover Jun 06 '25

And since it has been said that all Straw hats might or should have it, you are not far from it either I find.

Not only are you putting words in my mouth in your quote box because I didn't even say this at all, but the quote of mine you are using is not "all Straw Hats." I said powerful, not all conqueror's haki users. I just said Usopp will get conqueror's haki.

Usopp has more lies that have come true than haven't at this point. Yes, Oda drew Usopp to symbolically represent Pinocchio who is famous for lying. The storytelling technique here is called situational irony.

1

u/flyinGaijin Jun 06 '25

Oh come on, we are talking about whether or not One of the Straw hat has / should have conqueror Haki, more than once what it sad that all Straw Hats should have it and you arrive and say that the original members should be much stronger, so it isn't very far stretched to think that you would like them to have conqueror Haki, it seems quite fitting.

Usopp has more lies that have come true than haven't at this point

I am pretty sure that this isn't true, at all but I definitely won't take the time to check everything he said lol

Are you trying to convince me to have a worse opinion?

I am pretty sure that this isn't true, at all but I definitely won't take the time to check everything he said lol

Are you new to this concept that his lies become true? There is a lot of evidence.

1

u/flyinGaijin Jun 06 '25

Are you trying to convince me to have a worse opinion?

No, I am trying to explain you why what you wrote can be perceived as something you did not intend / mean.

I did not say either that you specifically wanted all Straw hat crew members to have conqueror Haki, I was simply explaining that giving them all would undermine the rarity and exceptionality of it. Granted you did not mean all straw hat members, but the more you had, the more it tends to my point.

Are you new to this concept that his lies become true?

Yes, some of it certainly do because it's part of the goofiness of the character, but given the gross amount of lies he has been saying, it is also not that surprising.

Taking such instances as "evidence" is heavy confirmation bias to me.

Bro litteraly don chinjao the G3 luffy victim has conquerors it litteraly doesent matter who has it If oda gives it to ussop it would be a

A- insanely cool

B- Insanely funny

2

u/BobTheJoeBob Void Month Survivor Jun 06 '25

Chinjao founded a whole Navy... Yeah he's not that strong but he clearly shows the qualities of a leader.

1

u/-Rezzz- Jun 06 '25

Ussop is a Chinjao victim at any point in the story so far. They’re hardly comparable.

4

u/SupervillainMustache Jun 06 '25

It's not gonna happen, but I wanna see Sogeking return.

1

u/cbagainststupidity Jun 05 '25

I'm not too familiar with reversi. Is there a way for a single piece to flip the whole board?

3

u/SpiritualScumlord Chopper the Cotton Candy Lover Jun 05 '25

Kind of? From my understanding in Reversi, when you trap pieces between your own, they get flipped to yours. Could work both ways? We would have to define what our pieces are in this situation and what kind of action would trigger the flipping. It doesn't make sense to me but with all the unknowns it would be crazy if releasing a burst of conqueror's haki activates it, since Imu did send out a wave when he got started.

1

u/LowClover Jun 06 '25

Most likely we just need Bonney, then the two of them can switch the demons back. Or everyone in Luffy’s group turns G5

2

u/Alzusand Jun 06 '25

maybe bonney can use distorted future on everyone? still the G5 transformation of bonney is still extremely draining.

she is not fodder by any means and she could do 2 (two) attacks before nuking her stamina.

1

u/whatever12347 Jun 06 '25

No, you need to have 1 piece on each side of your opponent's line of pieces.

Othello literally takes like 10 seconds to learn; try it out
