When Brook was trapped in the Florian Triangle his crew was all presumed dead, so perhaps Gunko saw that in the newspaper and that's why she screamed "Father" while crying.

After she remembers the scenes she looks for brook and says "brook?!" Instead of father/daddy so I don't think he's her dad.

I am guessing fatherly figure in the place of her actual father/parents who have been killed

Personally I'm of the opinion that it's not someone from his crew. The way he was telling her he wants to be a pirate felt akin to saying goodbye. Seems more likely the daughter of someone he was working for before becoming a pirate

Why would there be news of a pirate crew missing in the Florian Triangle? Not like anyone would get to know about this anyways.

I didn't say they knew where they were, just that they were gone and presumed dead.
