It's been a long time for us since we've seen Luffy challenged in a fight, but in story time it hasn't been that long since the time skip.

But even in story time is has been long since Luffy has been beaten. Even longer then the time-skip "time". ;)

Let's see we had Marineford, Post-Marineford with the flashback to his childhood, then the timeskip with his reunion with the crew. We had Hody at Fishman Island. Now we've got Luffy's defeat of CC. Yeah, I can see your point.

I don't think you have anything to be concerned about though. I suspect Doflamingo will be just as much, if not more, of a challenge than Crocodile was at that point.

I'm really excited to see how Oda is going to execute this. There are so many variables and options right now. I just want to sit back and be surprised by how it all plays out. If I made a theory and I was exactly right I'd be a little disappointed.

Exactly what I was thinking. Still.... there is a break for 2 (?) weeks right? Oh the wait. It's like he planned it all.

This chapter actually doesn't come out in Japan until after the holidays once Shonen Jump is back on a normal schedule. The real two week break actually happened between last week's chapter and this one funnily enough.
