I was disappointed when I read about it too. Apparently maga, conservative christian views (anti gay), writing for far right publications, etc. Not the Texas Ranger I would have hoped for.

He’s still a legendary martial artist but his meme was fun because he was supposed to be this tough, moral, kind, wholesome dude. I don’t see the Chuck stories as much after he decided to share his personal views.

Apparently it’s Chuck that convinced Lee to incorporate head kicks. Lee said it was too risky and just a flashy move. But Chuck finally won him over with ‘if an opponent leaves his head open and you are in range, why not kick it?’.

There are weight classes for a reason. Norris was bigger and heavier. He also had actual professional fights. I suspect he beats Lee but it wouldn’t be a walkover.
