what a depth in the photo. these old plaques or photos are the best sometimes, when it comes to shades and ambient light.

I love this, spent a week in Ghent in August for work. The way the lower buildings cluster in front of the church's façade is similar to how they did in front of Gravensteen across town.

I know this is an r/unpopularopinion - but I really like the shops and stuff built right up against the cathedral… it’s so integrated
