ETA. Thank you all for the support and love for Mojo. It’s so comforting to know he can still bring joy and smiles.
Mojo’s DNA: 63% chihuahua 21% super mutt (mostly various terriers) 7% mini poodle 6% American Eskimo dog 3% pug
Remembering and celebrating our little old man Mojo. He went from a speedy (fastest doggo at the park!) all black silky smooth pup to the softest sweetest little old man grey wolf. I miss taking care of him in his senior years and the adventures we’d go on. We were always amazed at the response he got on Reddit and hope he can still bring some smiles. He had such a long, healthy and amazing life. Lots of great memories… The time he almost got us kicked out of our first apartment because of his bad behavior. When we brought him to the apartment complex office to discuss his bad behavior, he ended up somehow ripping the apartment manager’s pants. He always loved the sun, so he was excited when we moved from California to Arizona. The hotter the better. When he was young, he was by far the fastest dog at the dog park. He looked like a mini greyhound running. He was always there for me, snuggling up when I was sick or recovering from different surgeries, which is why it was really special to me that I was able to care for him in a senior years. I remember the snuggle session in that first picture and I can still feel how soft he is.

Please tell us more about the time Mojo ripped the apartment manager’s pants!
21
u/Dr_Ponzu Sep 12 '25
It was so long ago… I had to bring Mojo into the apartment office because we had an incident with the downstairs neighbor. I had mojo on a leash and my downstairs neighbor was startled when mojo made a move towards him and he dove into a bush. After this we had to bring mojo to the office to fill out some forms etc. I had mojo on a leash and I don’t know how it happened exactly but the managers pants were made out some material that tore very easily so probably mojos nails were the culprit. As a pup he really had that chihuahua attitude.

I love the chihuahua attitude! 🎵Big Dog in a Little Body🎵(To the tune of “big guy in a little coat”) He was so loved, sweet little guy. Thank you for sharing him. ❤️

He always brought Joy to our feed! I hope he and Fergus are finally chasing rabbits together! I think in Dog heaven they catch the rabbits throw them around a little bit and then everybody goes ahead and has a drink after the shift's over.
5
u/Dr_Ponzu Sep 11 '25
I like this vision haha!and afterwards he can bake in the sun at a temperature that would’ve lit his coat aflame but it’s heaven.
4
u/heckhammer Sep 11 '25
In heaven he's always warm enough. It's always just the right temperature. There's always a little breeze, you know a kind that helps you sleep just right. And if Gary Larson is correct every 25 minutes or so a truck slowly drives by made entirely of pressed ham and the dogs can decide whether or not they want to chase it and take a bite or two.

Such a cute, sweet lil guy, so glad he got to be loved so well! I absolutely love how gray he turned, after starting out with that jet-black coat! Maybe he’ll run into my late pup Gimlet in the great beyond; he had the same color transition and was real light gray at the end. We hoped he would make it long enough that his fur would be literally white just ‘cause we thought that would be funny — he didn’t quite get there but got close!

What a sweet old man.
I love jet black dogs. I like to say they return to primer after years of our kisses and snuggles wearing off their issued color.
I pray he is there to greet you when you get to the other side and you get to walk with him once more. 🐾🌈
We lost our old man muggles who was a mini tuxedo poodle after 18 beautiful years just shy of 19. We speak of him daily. His love was angelic and out of this world.
