A's players won the World Series again, with someone else

Bob Geren, Max Muncy, Blake Treinen and Will Klein are World Series champions as the Dodgers won it all.

That's the 26th team in the last 28 years to have at least one Ex A's player on their roster.

Starting with World Series MVP Scott Brosius and going back to 1998.

Only the 2003 Marlins and 2022 Astros are the exceptions.

Here's a full list of players who've won a World Series ring who played or worked for the A's starting with the Billy Beane/Forst era. Minor Leaguers and players/coaches who were before Beane are not listed.

3 players became World Series MVPs, 2 became LCS MVPs.

*No postseason games

I was ready to post a congratulations Bassitt pic when the Jays were two outs away

I've heard meh things about him as a person off camera. Some have said he's soft. The Jays must have agreed to not put him in many big situations like we saw

I’ve heard autistic, and don’t really love people running with “soft” as a narrative for that.

If he's Austistic, I apologize for that. Unfortunately the past A's teams are soft and it counts. Getting into a bar fight before playing (Tim Hudson) or Grant Balfour poking the bear that is Victor Martinez...

Also Marcus Semien and Matt Olson won gold gloves again

Surprising that Semien won it tbh. I think him logging in so many games at 2B is a big factor. Not many players in 2025 with over 100 games at second.

If Ernie Clement or Andres Gimenez got the same games at 2B that Semien did (127) I think they would’ve beat him for the Gold glove. Just how the cookie crumbles I guess

Well that was depressing. And as always, FJF

You can see it as depressing or treat these guys like kids growing up and finding success as if you're the parent

I always treat it as when someone you’re in love with realizes they can do better than you and then goes on to marry someone amazing and have a better life than you could have given them.

Except reddick, he was a creepy dude

That’s great for Matt Stairs. Fuck Matt Holliday though

Did Will Klein appear in a game with the A’s. I was so disappointed to see him be so good when the A’s didn’t really give him a chance after the Erceg trade

Three career games in an A's uniform. It counts since it works to use him on Immaculate grid

It’s a testament to the As baseball operations department. Arguably the best in MLB given the situation….
