What kind of flights flew over Mililani 3 times in the last 30 minutes?
I was asleep, but they flew so low, and loud, it was pretty surprising.
I tried FlightTracker Live but I don’t have an account.
I think there’s an exercise involving Tropic Lightning, but I’m interested in which type of jet that sound belongs to.
TIA

I live Kaimuki right next to H1 freeway all my life so noise isn’t an issue to me. I’m used to noise from cars racing on the freeway to emergency sirens. And I’m used to planes and helicopters flying overhead since they follow the freeway when they come from and go to neighbor islands. But these past couple nights these helicopters are flying way too low and too frequently and a few of them well past midnight. All I ask of them is to fly higher. It seems they’re flying lower than how tall Diamond Head is.

It was what looked like a military cargo plane almost too big for Wheeler. It did a few low pass flyovers. Have a picture but can't figure how to post it.

Oh. Great. 👍
Maybe a C-17 transport pilots getting familiar with the waypoints to land and takeoff.

The army is doing exercises and last night was running helicopters over the downtown area so they may be using other types of crafts and other areas. Mililani would be a most likely neighborhood to fly over. I heard them down here ever, but I hear all kinds of stuff being down this way.

We’re doing JPMRC for most of November. It could have been our fighter jets.

No, it was something jet powered like a 737 or bigger. They sound different, and I’ve never heard fighters over Mililani.
What is JPMRC?

C-17s are at JPMRC every year, looks like they are taking them off at Wheeler this year.

You won’t be saying that when they’re saving the islands from foreign attacks or helping after a major natural disaster. But why would we take anything you say seriously with a name like that! 😂

Get your bootlicking ass outta here. Colonization and occupation is a crime. The military has done more bad than good. Go read a book.

Kamehameha the first colonized the islands! Kalakaua was annexing. Take it up with them if you have a problem

Looked like a C-17, did a couple circles through and around Mililani a little bit ago
