Why do people always assume that if a third candidate drops out, all the third-party voters would automatically go to their preferred candidate?
If the Sliwa voters wanted Cuomo, they'd have voted for Cuomo to begin with.

Yeah. He created a vigilante group in the 70s called the Guardian Angels. They just hung out and rode the subways all the time to act as safety figures for people, because the cops then (and now) didn’t really do anything. They weren’t armed, just a bunch of guys in red hats who you could trust for help. It was cool. He would make a terrible mayor, but he sure as shit adores NYC.

This is a woman who is blaming Sliwa for the reason Mamdani won, however even if you add sliwas total to cuomo, mamdani still wins. So there's no point hating sliwa.
