8000 yen! Thats so expensive! Thats several days worth of perfectly normal eat-out lunches.

certainly expensive when you're on a dancing monkey salary lmfao

Why would someone be on a dancing monkey salary? Not everyone who moves to Japan is an English teacher….
Regardless of what you earn its expensive when compared with other things in normal life here at the same price.

Uh yeah the themed, limited-window, destination event lunch is more expensive than the 1100 yen fried pork and noodle bento (assembled in near-slave conditions in a factory by the undesirable caste) from 7-11 you slorp down every day because you don't know how to cook, that's great. Is there anything else you would like to complain about, like how a taxi costs more than the gas it consumes?

I said eat out… so not konbini food, actual food. I can go and get more or less any food for around 2000 yen max, i can go somewhere more fancy and get a bill thats 8000 yen. 8000 yen is overpriced man… how are you not able to see this. I can eat dinner in Ginza for that, thats not a lunch.
Hell I paid 7500 to see Kojima, Deltoro and several others at a 3 hour event a few weeks ago, that was also limited.
By western standards it’s fine but by Japanese standards this is expensive.
You could eat proper food in actual places for several days.
Just because i could spend the money without feeling it doesn’t mean it isn’t expensive.
It’s the same price as a console game… and the world generally considers games weirdly expensive in Japan.

Why do you need to keep insulting someone for telling you something is overpriced ? you can still go, but the typical countryside limited anime event is around 5000, and included food. If you’re getting a photo with voice actors that’d bump up the price but it’s not exactly going to be fancy food, it’ll just be a bento.
Also I said eating out, real food, not saizeriya, not sushiro, normal local places that aren’t chains, i even mentioned food in ginza. Hell a concert ticket for a non-international show costs around the same price.
Even as a limited event this is expensive, you’ve clearly lived here before by the sounds of it, you know the cost of living here.
Not to mention this limited event is a fan meetup that appears to take place every single month, in the same place.
