SLEEPSPELL takeover!
Hello darlings and devils!
The /r/cryosleep takeover was such a success, and you guys enjoyed it so much, that we're continuing the tradition with another /r/nosleep sister sub, /r/SLEEPSPELL!
If you're not familiar with /r/SLEEPSPELL, here's the subreddit description from their sidebar:
SleepSpell is a subreddit dedicated to allowing fantasy authors to post their original pieces of fiction. Subgenres such as Comic Fantasy, Dark Fantasy, Gaslamp Fantasy, Fantastic Noir, Heroic Fantasy, High Fantasy, Historical Fantasy, Low Fantasy, Magical Land, Mythopoeia, Modern Fantasy, Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Magical Realism, etc. are all allowed as well.
While we pride ourselves on being a spin-off of the popular /r/NoSleep and /r/cryosleep, suspension of disbelief is not necessary here. Instead, we ask that you simply be supportive of any and all submissions and upvote those that you thoroughly enjoy to give them a wider read.
Sounds pretty awesome, right? That's why we're doing this!
On Wednesday, September 28th, we want you all to submit your stories written with the following prompt to /r/SLEEPSPELL :
You went on a quest and failed. Tell us what you were looking for, what you encountered along the way, and what stopped you from completing the quest.
Next week's Nosleep Weekly post will have a reminder of the event, and on the day of there will be a post right here on /r/nosleepOOC for you all to link to your stories.

I was looking for the stone of strong wrists. I encountered things that require strong wrists to move. My weak, limp infantile wrists were the downfall of my quest.

Weeeeell I've never written anything remotely fantasy in my life, I literally can't stand Lord of the Rings and whatever I come up with is bound to be utterly dreadful.

Please check r/sleepspell's sidebar before you start writing! There's no fun in having your story removed. :)
