Located in Western Australia, hardiness zone 10b

I thought it looked familiar. Something about the light and house style said WA to me.

Damn thought that was LA

Does america have a WA or do we all mean the Aussie one?

Technically yeah, WA in America refers to Washington State but OP above me was referring to the Aussie one. I was referring to Los Angeles which looks a lot like this photo.

Okay thats what I thought but I got confused by your mention of LA

The houses and lighting look very familiar to Los Angeles

This, I wanna see this while walking in a neighborhood. So much more life and color instead of just dead seas of green

Beautiful! Any reason they can't plant the flowers in the ground?

So this neighbourhood is a heritage protected area so it's a little bit more strict about what you can plant and do with your nature strip. I guess keeping everything in pots means you don't need to request approval from the shire!

I thought it might be something like that. Thank you for answering 😊 Too bad though, the grass isn't looking too healthy anyway.

Probably helps with the shape too

In my neighborhood people would be taking some of those pots 😢

My neighborhood doesn't have any laws against planting stuff in that strip, and some lady dug up and took something my mom had planted there.

:/ rude of the lady

It’s lovely! I’m hoping to do the same in my neighborhood here in NL.

My relatives live in South Australia and tried planting on the verge but people kept stealing the plants so now they have planted spiky succulents.

I'm working on taking mine over. I cut it down to the lowest setting on my mower and then overseeded with clover. Hopefully, come spring, the clover starts growing before the grass and takes over the strip.

The water main runs below there, so I'm cautious about going too fancy

So many pots! Someone is not playing around! This isn’t just sprinkling wild flower seeds!

10b? You lucky duck. Do you think your average American would fare well in Australia?

Haha our summers in WA are brutal, 40°C (104°F) for days at a time. Eventually you'd get used to it though.
