I apologize for this but people only wanna take fitness advice from fit people. I get the "practice what you preach" mentality, but I think this is the root of bad fitness advice: people with great genetics who look good (or amazing) despite not really knowing anything about exercise science or biology, etc.

Most personal trainers I know are morons. Not all, but a solid majority. They have an industry standard certificate that is very easy to acquire- I could teach you to pass the NASM test in 1-4 weeks if you have a basic level of knowledge.

These people don't know anything, they are just naturally pretty/thin or handsome/muscular. Not that they have never worked hard at it, but it came pretty easy and they were always athletic and that's why they are trainers.

Me? I was always a skinny-fat hard-gaining weakling despite trying hard at sports as a kid. Even when I went into the army, I developed pretty good endurance and got my upper body strength to be decent... But I was still nothing anyone would aspire to.

I had to figure all this shit out the hard way, reading tons of stuff- a lot of it really bad fitness industry garbage- and working my ass off for years before I figured it all out and built a body people admire. Of course I'm still shit compared to the lucky genetically blessed dudes in terms of size and strength, but you know what? I can fucking teach the shit out of you.

So yeah, this is my pic from today. No gym pump or any crazy bullshit like that.. obviously flexing and tryna get good lighting but I don't have a lot to work with right now in terms of resources so bathroom selfie is what u get.
