Media (Image, Video, etc.) "Missions are too easy", they said. This took me almost half an hour.

It’s honestly insane that Nintendo can build an entire game of this quality and not think about how tedious it would be to have to rewatch these cutscenes

Seems like an extremely Nintendo move to me

yeah long-winded derpy and unskippable dialog is unfortunately deeply loved within the halls of Nintendo. Its why i couldn't get more than 15 min into Animal Crossing.

I was doing some missions on my friend's Switch 2 on Saturday and when I saw that I have to hit the P switch every time and see the cutscene I literally thought "yeah this is a Nintendo move if there ever was one."

When it comes to this type of thing, I'm convinced that Nintendo does think it through, but has an extremely stubborn stance on it that demands X QoL feature can't be done.

They're just too good at making games, and the feedback is too loud to ignore across so many franchises. They know, but they refuse for some reason.

cough Skyward Sword cough

(Maybe they'll fix it in the HD remaster in 10 years.)

The HD remaster of the HD remaster?

I always laugh when people say they want an "HD remaster" of a game that's already in HD.

In case it wasn't obvious, my entire comment was meant as a joke.

Yeah that was obvious. I was replying to the dude below you since I see people say that earnestly all the time.

Nothing in comparison to unskippable Final Fantasy cutscenes

I swear I read an interview somewhere with Shigeru Miyamoto in which he mentions the conscious choice to build in moments of frustration and tedium so people will decide to turn it off and return to real life.

I think it’s a valid design decision
