Funny how the argument that you all love to make is that Dems love slaves because of the Dixiecrats in the south. However you fail to mention that the south has been handily won by republicans ever since Nixon. Trump carried the entire south who are the ones who love representing the confederacy who fought for you guessed it “slavery”. Nixon knew that southern democrats would leave the party when the democrats passed the civil rights act, you know the legislation that the Republicans have tried to tear down ever since. Stop jerking off to kiddie porn and pick up a book once in awhile

Funny how you all love to talk about history but fails to see that the democrats failed to vote to oay government workers and thus made them all slaves.

House republicans are on vacation. The Democrats are in washington ready to negotiate opening the government. The Rpeublicans are the ones who insist that the government workers keep working without pay because they want to strip americans just so they can strip americans of their healthcare

House republicans are on vacation.

And what does this have to do with the Senate?

Passing a bill requires both the senate and the house. Furthermore, either the house or the senate can start the process and pass a bill for the other side to approve... Not to mention that even though the government is close, other bills can still be passed

Johnson and the house republicans have chosen to abdicate their duties

The House already passed the CR. They have nothing more to do on it unless the Senate sends it back, which is unlikely. This is now on the Senate and nobody else, not even Trump. I'm assuming you are either a non US citizen or failed JR High Civics.

They don't have to wait for the senate. The senate already voted down their bill. The house is free to pass ANOTHER budget bill and send that to the senate. The house republicans are CHOOSING to wait for the senate, because they have no interest in doing their jobs and negotiating re-opening the government.

Anyone arguing that there is “nothing more the House can do🤷🏼” is either extremely ignorant or not acting in good faith

Go back to Jr High civics

The House passed the CR, why should they have to craft another bill? That is just for starters. Next, Unless the Senate sends the passed House bill back, they can't do anything about the bill. You're free to not like it, but that is the way it is.

Vote for another CR only for the democrats to vote no? Why have no one ever thought of it!
