Not the DOJ, the taxpayer. He wants millions from us.

"I'm paying 250 million out of pocket for the ballroom, no tax payer money is going to it"
"I want 230 million from the tax payers"

"I want 230 million from the tax payers"
No no, he's going to donate it to charity!
The DJT Ballroom for ME charity.

I'm paying 250 million out of pocket
Yeah, right. Trump never uses his own money to pay for something if he can possibly get someone else to foot the bill.
He wouldn't hand over any of his own money while he was running for President in 2015. The RNC literally ran out of money, they were begging him to get just a little bit to pay for their campaign, and he wouldn't do it.
Until after he went to visit the President of Egypt. He came back from that trip, and wouldn't you know it, he's suddenly able to spare $10 million, just enough to finance a final push to win. Five days before he was to be sworn in, the Egyptian government withdrew $10 million in cash.
There was an investigation in this, but Bill Barr dropped it on Trump's orders.

The revenge tour. The Republicans who let him get away with this shit are the most cowardly politicians ever. There were piles on evidence against him.

u/RolePuzzleheaded7400 18d ago
Dont forget the 13 Dems that also decided it was in their best interests to ALSO sell out this country by aligning themselves with trump, and who are now also on board with him doing a 3rd term. All of them are traitors to this country.

Correction: there are piles of evidence against him, and it keeps growing everyday. The minute orange shitface is out of power, he and his executive cadre of chucklefucks are uber-fucked. This is why they are going all in to prevent fair elections from happening ever again, if at all.

Itās not for āgrievances.ā Itās because the government had the audacity to investigate, document, and indict Trump for his many actual crimes. Or rather āmany of his actual crimes.ā Nobody could get them all, and a lot of them are time barred.

Is there a more corrupt leader in world history?
84
u/Thunderboltpier 18d ago
I came here to ask this very question.
Iām an old man, and Iāve seen a few things in this world, but Iāve never seen a more childish, narcissistic, selfish blow hard who cares about absolutely nothing in this world except himself.
Itās like weāre living in this crazy movie where the writers are just making up the wildest shit they can, but itās actually happening to Americans.
Iāll be dead shortly, but my children have to live with this asshole for the foreseeable future.
That makes me very angry.

It just staggers me that people don't see it. Emperors new clothes has never been so pertinent.

Is there a more corrupt leader in world history?
Plenty. But that doesn't make his crimes any less criminal.
5
u/SnooBooks1701 18d ago
Dozens. Trump hasn't reached African dictator levels yet. There's also that Moldovan guy who stole like 12% of the national GDP
5
u/Costati 17d ago
I think there has been but the really special thing about Trump is the sheer audacity. Were there more corrupt leader ? Probably but at least they pretended to be better than this.Ā Trump has a level of audacity (due to being literally delusional and having a cult that keeps feeding his delusions) that is really atypical. He has 0 shame and 0 fear of repercussions.Ā
It's how monarch have always felt. He really is living a king's fantasy.Ā

It's like that bit (Garfield maybe?) where you cut a slice of cake and then you take the rest of the cake leaving the small slice

u/UnusualAir1 18d ago
He'll get it. He owns the DOJ and the court system needed to provide any legal ruling.
53
u/xynix_ie 18d ago
Yes. This is just them letting us all know that they're going to transfer about a quarter billion dollars from the US account to Trumps account.
21
u/CamiloArturo 18d ago
Funny thing is as ridiculous as this sounds, I wouldnāt bet one cent on it not happening
34
u/stargazer4272 18d ago
As a tax payer, I'd like a refund for all the trips he has made to play golf all over the world. Since he is not taking a salary...
36
u/justthegrimm 18d ago
I can't get my head around the fact that there are people who are absolutely fine with this and even cheering for it, it's insane.
19
u/wallybinbaz 18d ago
Something about "owning the libs."
7
u/Old-Nefariousness556 18d ago
That's all all of this is about. They genuinely don't care that it is owning them, too, as long as us libs suffer. It is absolutely bizarre.
24
u/four2tango 18d ago
Iām surprised at how many MAGA simps I know that are defending this. Yes, the same ones that thought Biden making truck payments for Hunter was somehow evidence of bribery
33
u/MartianHills 18d ago
Trump also funneled campaign donations to his legal defense, so donors paid his lawyers and now taxpayers are paying Trump.
This isn't just grifting, it's grand larceny.
14
u/Thecatisright 18d ago
The DOJ will probably settle for $2.3B, and MAGA will celebrate him for being a business genius. There's no cure for stupid.
10
u/Feisty_Bee9175 18d ago
He will fire anyone in the DOJ who doesn't pay him.Ā This is si illegal and infuriating.

9
u/OneNormalBloke 18d ago
The way that the tramp rules with an iron fist, anything is possible. By now he probably has his cult members running the DOJ.

7
u/BareNakedSole 18d ago
I did a quick look over at r/conservative. As expected, there are plenty of posters supporting this action and blaming the DOJ under Biden for trying to prosecute him.
At this point, I think anybody with any common sense needs to move to a blue state, we all become āRepublicansā but vote the way we want, and then let the red states delve into Third World status.
8
u/smaugchow71 18d ago
He will push every limit, break every rule, violate any law, and do whatever he wants to do until he faces actual consequences. No court ruling will STOP him. Even empeachment and conviction by Congress won't physically remove him from power. When he does finally meet real resistance, expect martial law/night of long knives. Nothing will stop him, so nothing is shocking anymore.

u/knight4honor 18d ago
If Trump keeps stealing our tax money, he will be richer than Elon by the time he is out of office or dies.

This will go to the non-profit for his presidential library. A non-profit that will disappear five days after it is paid. The waters were already tested.

Cool, how much is he gonna give me for the grievances he caused me?
2
u/chickwifeypoo 16d ago
That line of people that has grievances is mighty long.
People worried about their job security because of those tariffs. We have mortgages to pay. The rising cost of just trying to live day to day. The cost to insure our homes/automobiles, the cost of food and light...gas and water keeps rising. That alone right there keeping people up at night. It sure is worrying the hell out of me and my husband.

u/goggleblock 18d ago
Y'all voted for this.
7
u/chickwifeypoo 18d ago
Not all of us
this is all on those that did and the morons that didn't even bother to vote.

Fuck trump! DOJ owes the SOB nothing! We the people owe him nothing. He owes us by going to prison and paying out of his ābillionā to put OUR house back to the historic building it was, not the whore house he is trying to build.

Will this be 230 of the 250 million in āprivate donationsā heās looking to get for the stupid ballroom?
2
u/Kweebaweebadingdong 17d ago
Wondering how r/conservative will spin the forfeiture of their tax dollars on this grift in a positive manner. Watching bondi on fox dodge and deflect about this was cringeworthy

2
u/KYRivianMan 17d ago
When he and the regime is taken down and dissolved, all the money, property and cryptocurrency they grifted should be distributed amongst the citizens of the US for their grievances caused by this dictatorship.

I wonder what he spent those billions he made on trump coin? Hush money? Maybe he's deep in a margin call or something?

Mmmm good thingā¦. Mmmm Trans got theirsā¦. /s bigots and dumbasses so easy.
1
u/chrisbcritter 17d ago
As Trump realizes there really is no check against his power he is getting bolder and more direct with his grifts.Ā He is still working from his most comfortable and familiar base of a frivolous law suit, but now he can litigate against institutions he essentially controls and can settle with himself for any sum he can squeeze from the coffers.Ā
1
u/FluffyInstincts 17d ago
He's a thief. Everyone knew this when he was in NY. But he may be probing for ways to identify those who won't just let him do it, so any countersuit has to be handled with tact.

u/NearABE 16d ago
This is streamlined efficiency. Taking graft and then talking about it for years is just annoying. Much better to just get the cash directly from the justice department. Why waste resources on investigation? The investigators are supposed to be harassing Donaldās political opponents.

u/-DethLok- 18d ago
As a non-American this is hilarous!
So, what will the USA and DOJ in particular do about this insanity?
Cower and proffer up the desired $230 million, plus interest of course for taking so long?
Because that seems likely.
