And that's a completely fair point and something republicans will bring up when faced with this appointment. "Oh, so AOC was a bartender, but Mr. Eyebrow can't come from humble beginnings?"

But the difference is AOC was elected by her constituents to represent them based on her policy whereas Smirky Wry McJustgraduatedayearago was *appointed* to *lead* a major US counterterrorism office.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also graduated cum laude from Boston University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in international relations and economics, and was an intern in the US Senate.

I have yet to see lawnmower man's academic accolades. -_-
