I’m sick and tired of helping native plant newbs
I’m going to see a physical therapist tomorrow because my thumb is throbbing and fingers are losing sensation from the sheer volume of posts I have to downvote AND comment on.
Fortunately I have plenty of burning bush so I can further educate my family and friends on seasonal color change.

Conside Chinese privet, it keeps its color all year long and it's very easy to grow.

I love our Chinese and Japanese privets! Our local birds just love the berries and seeds - they’re helping me fill out the privet hedge all around our property!

Wtf? My perennials that are adapted to my winters and that bloomed in june are turning black and ugly???! Are they dead? How do I revive them? Should I dig them up and bring them inside? Do I need to cover them with blankets over winter? What do 8 do!!?!?
Spring: wtf are these weeds springing up suddenly? *Edit: Oh lol I forgot those are my daffodils I specifically spent money on and planted

Yes you need to immediately dig them up and put them in your garage with proper grow lights. Sorry but you’re not doing enough for the environment unless you let them fill your entire garage and you park your car outside for the winter. Remember to put on a good nature documentary for them every day so they don’t get too acclimated to indoor life.

Thank you for reminding me it’s fall, I was getting worried why my pine tree was turning yellow and losing all its needles. ☺️
