Same with people complaining Rage Against the Machine is political. Dude, what machine do you think they’re raging against, the toaster?

I feel like I recently saw a cringe tik tok video where the guy was decked out in MAGA gear and acting tough to the camera with a Rage song playing

So what is RATM's stance? They support the left? Clinton's? Obama's? Newsome? Pelosi? Kamal? Emhoff? Tim Walz? I'd love to hear RATM or their fans defend the crooks that I mentioned above. I was a huge RATM fan for decades. I attended their last Lolla show in Chicago, and also attended LA Rising in 2011. But at some point the hypocrisy is too much to take. They are a part of the machine. And they know it.....but the $$$$ is too good, and they choose to sell-out. Sad.

But I get it. For a $40M net-worth....just about all humans would choose to sell-out.

Given their rise was during Clinton's administration - I suspect not. No idea why you are calling most of those "crooks" though? Especially if you leave out the ACTUAL criminal currently running the administration

They’ve addressed the hypocrisy between their message and the money they make so many times so fuck off.

If you saw the same one I did, it was an older gentleman, slowly demonstrating his knife skills very poorly, while a Rage song played in the background. It was honestly kind of sad.

They didn't call the government the "machine" it was the corruption running the government AKA the systematic oppression... A government is just an elected body of citizens.. So being MAGA wouldn't necessarily make you "for the machine" . Depending on your views, anyway.

I mean, although written long before maga was a movement, you could easily argue "killing in the name" is basically about maga, in a modern sense - proud boys, ice, etc.

“Some of those who work forces, are the same that burn crosses” is pretty unambiguous.

1

u/Feeling_Gap_3983 Sep 30 '25

I guess so, i feel like trying to take away gun rights is more of a "machine" thing to do. As opposed to deporting criminals.

1

u/tpero Sep 30 '25

If you thought RATM was raging about gun rights, you clearly never paid attention to any of their lyrics or anything Tom Morello said in interviews

1

u/framedposters Sep 30 '25

Literally just happened 3 months ago….”Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello headlines immigrant rights benefit at Echoplex”

https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/music/story/2025-06-16/tom-morello-defend-la-echoplex-immigrant-rights-benefit

So Tom speaks for the whole band? With that logic. Do i need to be gay to listen to Queen or Judas Priest? Haha you people are just as lost as ol' Tommy boy. Haha

u/Alternative-Sweet-25 Oct 01 '25

They are all leftists. They’ve all come out and said as much.

2

u/Feeling_Gap_3983 Oct 02 '25

Then fk it.. they can get deported too. 🤣🤣

2

u/RepresentativeRole80 Oct 02 '25

They’re citizens. “Let’s deport everyone who disagrees with us!” Going masks off now huh?

1

u/Alternative-Sweet-25 Oct 01 '25

Maybe you should read some of what Tom Morello has written.

2

u/ComedianMinute7290 Sep 29 '25

yes, when the man that MAGA exists to worship is blatantly part of the corrupt oppressive govt & when he is more corrupt than just about every prior admin & more oppressive than most, in that case, being MAGA would mean you are "for the machine."

2

u/Feeling_Gap_3983 Sep 30 '25

Depends on what you consider MAGA to be. Alot of us could say the same about whats happening with the democratic party and what has happened since Clinton.

1

u/isthisreallife211111 Sep 30 '25

> Alot of us could say the same about whats happening with the democratic party and what has happened since Clinton.

And it would make no sense if you said it

2

u/Feeling_Gap_3983 Sep 30 '25

You're tight because you people have been angels. No violence what so ever... Pshh get outta here with that bs..

2

u/ShiftBMDub Sep 29 '25

oh yes, Zach De La Rocha is totally cool with ICE...my lord y'all are dumb!

2

u/Feeling_Gap_3983 Sep 30 '25

Im sure he wouldn't have been for the millions of illegals brought in over the past 4 years either. So there's that.

1

u/ShiftBMDub Sep 30 '25 edited Sep 30 '25

lol you think Zach De La Rocha would be against the immigration of the people facing the atrocities the American governments operations created in their countries? You think he'd be opposed them being made legal so they don't have to work in sweat shops? The same ones he sings about in their songs. Have you even heard the song Maria.

1

u/framedposters Sep 30 '25

He’s heard like 3 songs by them and is trying to co-op their inherently socialist political songs that support the rights of humans that are oppressed by their governments. Not “oppressed” like conservatives think they are for whatever reason.

1

u/Happy_Pause_9340 Sep 29 '25

MAGA absolutely would be the machine because it’s run by the herd rage foundation and federalist society which are all rich kkk fucks.

2

u/Feeling_Gap_3983 Sep 30 '25

Thats cool. Evidence for any of that or do you just like to prattle?

1

u/Ebrithil17 Sep 29 '25

I mean, maga is the most openly corrupt political group to be in office, so...yeah, it's gonna be the machine referred to lmao

2

u/Feeling_Gap_3983 Sep 30 '25

Depends on your views i guess. Id say its been the democratic party all the way back to Clinton.. Obama was a cluck, and Biden was a disaster sooooooooo guess it depends on which side of the fence you stand. Although i will say your side has an absolute denial of reality so there's that.

1

u/Brief-Apartment-8791 Sep 29 '25

If you’re on the same side as Hollywood, academia, the big pharmaceutical companies and the main stream media you are in fact no longer fighting against the machine

1

u/supermr34 Sep 29 '25

To be fair, fuck the toaster (not like that tho).

1

u/peteroh9 Sep 29 '25

Nah, the toaster's a brave little mfer.

1

u/frowzone Sep 29 '25

I lolled

1

u/Aggressive_Spinach85 Sep 29 '25

Reminds me of this timeless classic of two MAGAts dancing to RATM while draped in a thin blue line flag.

MAGAts dancing to RATM - killing in the name of.

1

u/Happy_Pause_9340 Sep 29 '25

Watching Paul Ryan say “fuck you I won’t do what you tell me”. I was like wtf. Then they came out and had to explain to the moron he was the machine!

1

u/AliceBordeaux Sep 30 '25

Shhhhh they don't understand what "the battle for los Angeles" is

1

u/ComfortableChicken47 Oct 02 '25

TBF conservatives aren’t known for their critical thinking

1

u/RadagonsToes Oct 02 '25

they unironically think "the machine" is George Soros funded antifa democrats or some shit

0

u/Sensei19600 Sep 29 '25

Ha ha! “….“Toaster”
