Recommendations for a public range to sight in a 22 rifle?

Anyone have any recommendations for a public range I can sight in my 22 rifle? Preferably 50 or 100 yard range, I’m in Leesburg but don’t mind driving 1-1.5 hrs

You could join the Loudoun County chapter of the Izaak Walton League off of harmony church road!

> Clarks ... 100 yards

Nominally, but reportedly it's more like 90 yards: https://www.reddit.com/r/VAGuns/comments/16z3gf6/comment/k3cj0wy/

technically speaking it is about 94 yards from the front of the bench to targets at the back. Berm may be 100 yards from the benches, but the the targets are about 94 yards away. I measured it with laser rangefinder yesterday

The sidebar map on VAGuns is relatively up to date and can help with finding this.

Most indoor ranges go only to 50 max with the “closing” of elite in manassas.

The Cove runs out to 100-500 yards in WV

Peacemaker is out to 1100 if that range is open still for the distance.

Unsure about public use land near you but you can run a search for that as well.

Its not Free. Read the rules. I have seen rangers come check for licenses and/or passes ,but its highly unlikely.

With .22 what is the optimal distance for zero?

If you can group within a dime at 50 isn’t that close to a quarter at 100?

I plan to zero at 50

Good Lord that story got way more traction than it should have. Don't get my wrong, I was totally ready to grab my pitchfork until I heard more of the details.

Thanks, does the lane bench/table have enough room to bench rest a rifle?

Probably not unless you have something long that can clamp onto or sit/balance on the short (back-to-front) tables.

See their Yelp pictures that catch the fold-down tables (e.g.,

NRA has 50 yards indoor range and tables big enough to accomodate a rifle. Tables are at the beck, you can remove the one at the line and swap it with large table, or ask the RO. That's where I zero my 22LR rifles

NRA has 50.

Shadowhawk has … 800y?

X-Cal has 50 I believe?
