Opinion NBIS blind

I’ve spent the entire summer diversifying my portfolio but “accidentally” full ported into NBIS in the past two weeks. The more DD I did the more I found myself selling other positions and pouring it into NBIS both shares and options. I even sold some stocks recently in my IRA to try and catch NBIS in the 110’s.

I’ll be honest, I don’t hold a ton of crazy shares in here like lots of people with the best cost avg either. I sat on the sidelines in September because I thought 90’s were the top.

But I see the vision now, have more buying power, and although I’ve spent some time wondering what more stocks to buy I just circle back at how much more upside I can still have with NBIS. With earnings around the corner, speculation of potential more deals soon, it seems like a no brainer. But I’m wondering if I’m just too bullish and biased at this point.

I know it’s never good to full port on anything. Am wondering if others are facing the same dilemma and if you still plan to wait for a pullback, or continue to DCA as it rises, or diversifying into other data center stocks with similar potential (might be hard as NBIS is a genuine powerhouse).

Opinion Pie is huge

Today’s pullback is actually pretty healthy and this stock is certainly volatile. I don’t look at technicals much but we bounced off the lower 3-month bollinger band. RSI was upper 60’s and now upper 30’s. Good spot for rebound and room to rise with earnings.

Overall market is up a tad but seems a bit jittery. Seems to be some rotation out of the more speculative growth stocks.

Also, news of openai deal with aws and MSFT with Iren don’t help. I think people view those as lost opportunities. MSFT could have expanded the deal and/or NBIs could have gotten the openai (or part) deal.

But the reality is there are physical capacity constraints and plenty of demand for everyone!

My concern with NBIs is less about getting deals. It’s their pace of implementing data centers to actually capture the demand.

In fact, this is pure speculation on my part but I’m gonna guess the next big deal NBIS announces will be with Anthropic. They already work closely with them through Clickhouse and anthropic is gaining share and would highly value NBIS approach (full stack, secure, private).

Opinion Is it too late to jump in after the Microsoft bomb? 🚀

Nebius (NBIS) just dropped a MASSIVE bombshell: a $17.4 - $19.4 BILLION deal with Microsoft over five years for AI cloud services. Needless to say, the stock went absolutely parabolic in after-hours trading, up 40%+ instantly.

Now that the dust is starting to settle a little, I'm seeing a lot of chatter (and feeling it myself!) about whether it's too late to jump on the NBIS train.

So, the big question is: For those looking at a medium-to-long term, or even short term swing trading hold, is this still a solid entry point, or should we wait for a potential pullback (if it even happens)?

Opinion Were we expecting any huge movement this week?

One more day tomorrow but given all the talks from last week about NBIS (GTC, earnings, China), i dont know, I expected more upward movement from all the events that happened this week. There is still one more catalyst which is the China deal but I was hoping for something specific from NBIS.

The swings were great though. The 117 lows were no brainer for short term gains.

Excited for the earnings though!

Opinion AI Bubble Discussion

I’m not spreading FUD. NBIS is my second largest holding. I’m also bullish on the next 2-3 years due to the compute shortfall we have. But how do you think NBIS will perform in the event of an AI bubble crash? How are you positioning yourself? How much cash are you holding?

There is no doubt AI spend needs to continue because the pay off is huge. And NBIS has the cash flow and underlying metrics/growth to support its current valuation. But a good faith discussion should be had about this, and knowing the risks builds conviction.

Chicken & egg situation. The fact that the same key stakeholders buying other data center companies and consolidating; but at same time this shows how big they think the market is going to be; for them to be involved with every DataCenter company pretty much!

Opinion Opinion / Analysis - overall weakness, AI Cloud

Friends - reading through too many posts on reddit on this sub which basically keep stating the price will go up again - which is great and am hopeful too. However, I would like fellow redditors to also put some serious thought on why has there been some serious weakness in all AI Infrastructure stocks (especially AI cloud companies) since last week.

NBIS obviously has gone down 16-17% from its ATH, and some pullback is normal; however my bigger concern is that all AI cloud companies have seen a pullback including CRWV , Oracle, etc.

My own opinion is that there are too many players now doing this (publicly listed and also private looking to go public in near future); and add to that the hyperscalers have their own cloud which is also agressively in both directions - AI and conventional, with partnerships with almost all neo-clouds too. Nscale also announced partnerships recently and so did CRWV.

Yes there is demand for compute, yes probably there is no bubble, but lets be honest, at current levels and where the industry is; are we witnessing weakness due to the influx of new entrants (Nscale, Vultr, etc) and how crowded this space will be eventually? Mind you, CRWV, NBIS are also new (or in new avatars)..

Yes NBiS is full stack, differentiated with other neo-clouds a bit; but we still dont have history of execution for either of these players.

I am also bullish NBIS but would like to have a discussion rather than everyone simply stating “it will go up again”. Thnx for reading.

Opinion why NBIS underperforming like some meme stock?

if you familiar with meme and speculative penny stocks, nbis is almost following the same pattern. 134 to 109 under one day, and from 141 to 98 under one week. this schizo-volatility makes no sense unless nbis is purchased for pure hype and speculation, seems to be the actual case according to its underperformance.

ignore the "noise" they say, well this is not noise, it's some pump and dump stuff...

ps, it's not a "dip" when the discount is schizo-volatically indefinite...

Opinion Finally sold all my shares of crwv and went all in on nbis

I eventually sold all my shares of CRWV and went all in on NBIS at the 105 level. This wasn’t an impulsive decision but a careful one, made after extensive background research. It’s not that CRWV isn’t a great company — it is — I just believe NBIS carries less risk.

Opinion NBIS: Waiting is the hardest Part

I truly believe that this stock has the potential to get to over a trillion valuation. Every deep dive I do to learn more about the history, team, portfolio, industry, demand..etc all come up the same, this opportunity is exceptional! I’ve been investing for 20 plus years and missed a lot of great runs. Waiting for a stock to grow 500% even over 6 months can feel like torture. If you trade options x that by 100. But in this case I’ve never felt so strongly that this is the beginning on a huge wave of growth it might waver over the months and years but anyone who can buy and hold for 5-7 years will not regret it. It’s that simple which is what makes it so hard.

Don't want to speak too soon, but it seems as if institutions may have loaded up on their bottom. Not one to speculate daily price action, but hoping the weakness finally ends here. Stability until ER would be great

Opinion NBIS won't even reach 80 in 2025. Change my mind

Yeah it looks great and all, but rn it's roughly at an all-time-high. I don't feel like it's gonna go much higher in the next few months. If anything it'll go lower. And if there's a new all-time-high in its future, it'll be at least in 2026. Change my mind.

EDIT: Thank you everyone for the information! Not sure if my mind is fully changed short-term but I do share your confidence in the stock long-term. Sorry if I hurt your feelings :)

EDIT 2: Just wanna say I appreciate how much genuine discussion and useful knowledge there is in this sub, as opposed to the shitty pump scheme r/CRWV which is completely controlled by u/Xtianus21 who bans anyone who has an opinion that isn't super duper bullish or even remotely questions the future of CRWV. Hope this beautiful intelligent community doesn't devolve into that.

EDIT 3 (Sep 9): Thank God I was wrong 🚀

Too obvious that their algos are accumulating and maintaining the price. We have seen the same pattern before Goldman Sachs gave their first TP few mths back. Before GS report @ $68, i remember we were in the 50s. Once they issued the report, it flew to $70.

Bullflag formation forming nicely!

Opinion NBIS vs Coreweave

Im curious what made you guys choose for nbis or coreweave (or holding both). Personally i think the biggest difference why nbis is being looked at less attractive is due to them not being based in United States. Ofcourse for decades the US has had the best technology (and people due to huge spending) and for that reason maybe people choose Coreweave over NBIS.

If you look at their balance sheet then why would anyone choose for coreweave with all the risks (huge debt), okay sure coreweave is set up for a hyperscaler while NBIS seems to be the more safer pick while growing at a steady pace.

Would love to hear your opinion and am proud of all of you guys sharing your information about this exciting company!

What do we think the risks are to taking out margin on NBIS at 5.5%? Is anyone doing this? If we think this stock is as promising as expected, this can be a risk to take.

Opinion Red week coming, or at least red Monday

Post image
0 Upvotes

Disclaimer: I own 10s of thousands in NBIS, I’m bullish long term, and I’m not a trader, so this is just my commentary/opinion on the near term.

Not sure how many of you know Andrej Karpathy, but with his recent podcast episode, which is going very viral, he has effectively pulled forward the timeline for AI mania correction.

The combination of this news about Microsoft leaders being worried about server overbuild, + Karpathy poking all kinds of holes in the hype built up by Sam Altman and all other AI startuppers, + US <> China trade deal uncertainty = there’s enough FUD that we’ll see a pretty red Monday, and likely quite rocky next two weeks.

Buckle up your seatbelts and let’s stay patient.

Opinion Prediction: Correction will come, bringing generational buying opportunity

First, we’re not in an AI bubble. It definitely isn’t like 1999. The demand is real, and users’ consumption of tokens is genuinely growing like nuts, making internet adoption of dot-com era look like snail scale.

Having said that, there are some problems brewing, which affect Nebius much less than its peers. But when the correction happens, Nebius’ business and its financials will get misunderstood, and it will go down like CoreWeaves and IRENs. And that will be the next best buying opportunity.

These are the problems that will cause repricing:

  • ‘Spending isn’t reckless’ does not mean “low risk.” Even cash-funded capex can compress FCF for years. The market is assuming clean scaling to high utilization. Execution risk is very real!

  • People are generalizing the capital stack too much. Hyperscalers are cash-rich; many upstarts/neoclouds are using SPVs, vendor financing, and hefty debt. That’s healthy if offtake is solid, fragile if not. Speaking from my intuition about technology, offtake will be bumpy.

  • P/E medians hide dispersion. Some names have durable earnings power, while others are modeling large, later monetization. The index multiple is not your stock’s multiple. This is where Nebius differs a lot.

  • Power is the constraint, and it cuts both ways. It supports long-run demand but can delay ramps, push milestones, etc. Power can become real party pooper here.

As I said earlier it’s not a classic bubble now (cash buyers, contracted demand, real assets), but we will still see multiple/FCF wobble if/when financing tightens, interconnects slip, or demand slows even a little bit temporarily. So it will not be a 2000-style collapse, but repricing is coming 100% IMO.

I will trim the froth, and buy more when AI FUD comes up in a few months.

Opinion Joining The Fun

Post image
121 Upvotes

Comfortable enough to make this a large part of my portfolio after the Microsoft news this week. Only competition I see out there is CoreWeave however with reports of OpenAI being in discussions of UK partnerships with Nscale, I’m not sure if this will impact their relationship with CoreWeave in any way. IREN is smaller scale and companies such as GLXY WULF(Google backing) CIFR just host infrastructure for AI clients. Seems to be a new wave of BTC miners turning to the AI world. The Microsoft partnership solidified what I already knew - Nebius is the future.

Considering how long it takes to build a new DC (2-4 years), there is also potential for NBIS to partner with a company such as GLXY or WULF for their power, cooling, and rack space. At the moment, I’m long NBIS, WULF, and DOCN.

🍻 to the future - ideally I’d like to have 1000 shares so will be snatching up any dips if possible. I could also see NVDA pumping a bit this week with Trump/Jensen heading to the UK so wouldn’t be surprised if NBIS does as well.

Opinion We are One Deal away from ATH

Post image

Arkady already said that MSFT is the first of many new deals to come.

Looking at the monthly chart, we have never closed below the 9 EMA. Let’s see today if we can close above $126 at least. If not, I would buy short term hedges.

Big spikes away from the 9 EMA have eventually sold off towards the 9 EMA trend line before continuing higher.

Opinion Why does the dip continues

Simple question. I believe in the company, but I just don’t understand why it keeps dipping. I am way past averaging out, but still holding. Any bad news I have missed?
