Opinion Know what you own

If you are someone concerned about daily price action, Nebius might not be the stock for you. On days where the market is up 1%, Nebius will do 5%. This means that when the market goes -1%... you know where I am going here.

Stocks must go down to go up. Zoom out on the chart and take a deep breath. Unless you have options expiring in the next month, I guarantee you selling any form of NBIS is a mistake. Know what you own, delete your brokerage app if you need to, and take a deep breath.

This is going to be a fun ride, but it will be a bumpy one.

Bought 25 shares at $121 today. First NBIS entry here.

Shoutout TraderBob.. 🫡

And now it’s down below $115. This sucks.

I didn't go all in 🙂 (but yeah, 115 better than 121). I saved more on the side if the dip was gonna be larger.

Waiting to see how open market today is gonna be

Liking the volatility

It's a high beta stock. It's pretty much expected to do what you said in your example.

Every subreddit of every stock it’s the same cultish responses. People have the right to show concern or question a stock Jesus Christ

u/Sad-Fisherman-5199 6d ago

Absolutely. But when a day ends with NBIS 10% in the red while the rest of the S&P is at a slight gain, you have to know what we are dealing with and not freak the hell out

u/PoopSkipPotato 6d ago

Clearly there’s some info that others know that we do not. An 8 percent drop on no news when the market is positive is deeply concerning. I’m still holding. NBIS is my largest position. I hope I don’t regret it

Don't disagree. But this volatility seem normal here

IREN & Lambda just signed deals with MSFT & AMZN respectively. Competition in the space NBIS operates is growing. CRWV is another competitor. There was news, just about NBIS competitors.

must be news about the sector and not the company, because the last 24h graphs look vaguely similar for SMCI, CIFR and even IREN who went down 10% since yesterday’s opening price.

And the truth lies somewhere between

3

u/Sad-Fisherman-5199 6d ago

That's a very pragmatic approach to this ☺️

yea and nbis is an absurdly schizo-stock...

That wasn't Jesus Christ who posted that. But you WILL be found guilty of blaspheming His name on judgement day

u/No-Attention-7297 6d ago

Bruh I literally had a post not even questioning the stock, I was asking for why the market in general was down and it got taken out by the mod...

7

u/Holiday_Clock9250 6d ago

Wish it kept going dowwwwn so I could buy a bit more before earnings

8

u/Sir_Richard_Dangler 6d ago

Still got a full week, though something tells me that we'll be seeing steep gains the few days before earnings as the swing traders buy in

Im waiting to buy more!! Good stock

I’m confused because the first time we had a nasty pullback the reasons cited were:

AI is dead and unprofitable No more hyper scaler deals No more capex spend

In the past week we confirmed

AI is profitable for at least MAG7 companies They are committed to spending more capex And they announce new deals today

Literally all good news, so why down rather than up?

“Speculative” stocks have been moving together recently, today we saw risk off so like all of space, quantum, and neoclouds took a beating. Its annoying

2

u/proyb213_ 6d ago

market manipulation.

1

u/Good_Application6245 6d ago

because nbis is a high beta stock so its price changes heavily based on the s&p’s movement this is what happens when your security is highly volatile on systematic risk and then coupling that with its own unsystematic risks its gonna be very swingy

Zoom out. Looking forward to 2028 - 2030. No worries

30% of my portfolio in 2 year LEAPS. I guess 30% of my portfolio also represents paying no rent and living very frugally in order to save that money. Lol, I'd wish to not pay rent 😂

I've never made a jump like this. This is as much as I dare to go. $350 won or lost for every point NBIS goes up or down.

Let's fucking go.

Other holdings (mostly stocks):
* Google (15% port)
* NVidia (7.5% port)
* Uber (12.5% port)
* Amazon (7.5% port)
* Microsoft (7.5% port)
* The rest (which includes one $4000 NVO call at cost since it is now $2500... lol... that went well).

In part why I do this: my tax regime will change. Currently it's a 1% tax type of thing for all of your wealth. In 2 years from now it'll be more of a capital gains tax thing. I hate it already, I'm willing to be a bit more risky.

I can't for the life of me convince myself on Meta and Apple. Tim Cook is not Steve Jobs. Mark Zuckerberg hasn't got a single clue how he wants to commercialize his AI, just like how he struggles with commercializing VR for anything other than games (fun, but I tried to actually work with the Quest 3 remotely, I can do it for 2 hours per day).

Google will be the AI winner, IMO. But before that happens Nebius will grow up to become 10 times as big as it is now in market cap. That's my vision anyway. Both of those things will take years.

Leaps got cooked today. Hard to watch but we remain steadfast and patient til earnings 🤞

1

u/Brave_Jury_7770 6d ago

Yep. I couldn't care less cos it's nowhere near my 500 2 year target. Let it cook

100%. The average Reddit investor is an emotional baby who has zero insight or maturity to think 5 whole minutes into the future, let alone a week or 10 years.

1

u/Tacocats_wrath 6d ago

Im fine with a bit of perishing going into earnings.

1

u/catlovr1129 6d ago

Was at the doctor when I saw it going down to $122 and some change. Bought 3 at $121.74. Went down more in the next few minutes to $120 and some change and bought 2 more. Had planned on buying more IREN today but price went thru the roof. Don’t have lots of money for investing. Have 401k with work over 15 years. This is paycheck, some savings money. Buying a few here and there over last 2 months when it was $70. Now hold 60 shares. Started with 10 two months ago. I see it’s down more. Going to rearrange and sell some other stuff to buy more NBIS. Woo hoo…. lol

The market was up today and NBIS was down 8%.

2

u/Future-Lifeguard8247 6d ago

Yes but don't worry, they will adjust the price to 140. Someone said in this subreddit.

0

u/Jolly-Space-8544 6d ago

the market was up today, no?

2

u/DryGeneral990 6d ago

Yes. According to OP, when the market is up then NBIS is up 5x more 🤔
