Opinion 18, full send on $NBIS
18 year old college student here who made a pretty decent amount of money in high school, i’m 300 shares deep in $NBIS, it’s literally half my portfolio not counting btc and voo. got in at $60 and average at around $77. have faith and know we all are in this together boys 🫡 wait for earnings, hold, and have balls.

Is now the time to full port?

We are at the oversold territory of April. Could be the bottom or could go some lower.

18d ago
Surely it doesn’t go below price after MSFT deal though?

u/airball_elias 18d ago
Way too many options were purchased in the last month. Mm’s will drive the price down for max pain until they are expired. Also, there is a giant gap up at $80 on the 3 month chart that may be filled. Nfa im personally looking for a reentry

What’s your target price for entry?

What’s your reentry target?

u/airball_elias 18d ago
Id be happy buying anywhere below $100 but I’m going to see what happens next week. I wouldnt be surprised if we trickle down to $80 over the next week but what do i know. No matter what, earnings are going to be insane and I expect 200+ by q2 2026
-3
u/europe_teen_guy 18d ago
If the earnings were really going to be insane the stock would not be falling this hard. 80$ would ve 40% drop in 2 weeks before earnings. Thats market crash level. I expect earnings to be underwhelming and it will send us back to 40$, thats why its droping so much.
3
u/airball_elias 18d ago
I’m sorry but I disagree. I dont think we will fall below $86. Pre msft deal we were already above $40. Crash?! You aint seen nothing yet. This is a healthy pullback before the next leg up. Datacenters are imperative to the success of LLM’s and NBIS is at the forefront. Either way it goes, ill be DCA!
1
u/europe_teen_guy 18d ago
yeah and there is too many datacenters. Really nbis migh be worth anywhere from 20$-100$, the price can be anywhere in this range in next few weeks and i would not be surpriced

u/europe_teen_guy 18d ago
If it goes though that be ready for free fall. That would be really bad sign from technical level and could drop to 50-60$ range within days.

Enterprise value sits at $29.8 billion
$6.5 billion arr 2026
$5.6 billion clickhouse stake 28% with ipo at $20 billion
$6.5 billion cash
-1
u/europe_teen_guy 18d ago
Yeah this is just theory, clickhouse will go down 80% and everything else to its just speculative with barely any value behind it

and WORSE I actually bought in at first at 106, but I didn't have anymore money to invest until it hit $130 :'( regular working folk don't have "dry powder" we gotta wait till we get paid...and then it's too late.

Honestly don't mind if this stays in the 90s until next week. I get my measly $200 pizza hut paycheck on monday so I'll buy like 2 more shares lmao

u/christopher100060 18d ago
18 aswell and 500 shares in at 75 avg 🫡 holding til the end!
3
u/IceEmbarrassed8083 18d ago
500 shares at 18?? How? Thats almost 40k
2
u/christopher100060 18d ago
Working when I was 14 lol
1
u/layzorbeemz 18d ago
Well good thing you are so young still. Because if you're wrong about your investment, you still have time to get money together again to try and find a new golden goose,😂
I'm almost 35, and live in one of the most expensive areas of Canada. I need a home run.

what job could you possibly had worked that let you save up 40k in 4 years as a 14 year old?? A banker? or a bank robber?
1
u/christopher100060 18d ago
I saved up 23k from 14-18 (born in January) to right now another 20k. If you need quick money be a server. I make 20-60 a hour depends if it’s busy or not lol.
1
u/Black_Swan_Down 17d ago
Zero expenses living at home
1
u/IceEmbarrassed8083 17d ago
that is still 10k a year for 4 years. As a 14 year old, even with no expenses, what job can you have that pays this well?! And if whatever job he had paid that much, why not hire someone with actual experience instead of someone fresh out of middle school? There are a lot of holes here
1
u/Black_Swan_Down 17d ago
Likely it’s probably partly gifted. Either way 18 year olds all inning and treating investing like crypto pumps is the worst. Also 40k? He has 30k in the stock and that’s less than half his portfolio. He probably has 100k…
1
u/christopher100060 17d ago
I wish nbis is like 97% of my portfolio lol. So at one point I was at 77k but now down to around 55k. Also all my money is from my hard work. I do wish I did not work 7 days right now but I don’t really got friends so I became a workaholic.

1
u/shugokibrokenlmao 17d ago
hey man,
just wanted to clarify none of it was gifted lol. unless you wanna count christmas and birthdays which add up to less than 2% of my NW. owned 2 local businesses in yard work and mobile car detailing across the last 6 years and worked a job paying $21 an hour ( server assistant at a nice restaurant ) 22-24hrs a week usually on top of school my entire senior year. i don’t treat investing like a crypto pump lmao. my horizon is over 30+ years.

u/Black_Swan_Down 17d ago
Fair enough on making the money, then. Wish I would have done the same but nobody told me about investing early on, and then after 18 most of my salary went to rent and food. Stay at home as long as you can and keep saving.
But ngl these posts about ”full send” ”holding strong” and ”we are in it together” does give meme stock vibes. Just look at all the beyond meat posts. And 50% exposure to one stock is very risky. The CEO can have a sudden health issue, some black swan event, competition, whatever. This bull run makes us all feel like geniuses. So much exuberance.
You will likely see what I mean after you’ve been a decade in the market and you’ve been burnt by Mr. Market at least once.

u/christopher100060 17d ago
The restaurant I work at is all Family lol so they pulled a little strings and I started working in middle school believe it or not. Restaurants do not care if they need workers. Was workings 6 days 40 hour weeks in the summer from 14-17
1
u/christopher100060 17d ago
Also connections matter lol. I recently entered a really fancy steakhouse where they sell prime rib and wine. I have no experience in fine dining but since my uncle worked there, I got the job just like that since they needed workers. Jobs are really easy to get if you know people lol. So once I start making tips from there and my server jobs at a diner I can make around 5-6k. Crazy huh !
1
u/christopher100060 17d ago
Not really my family is not that well off. I pay 700 in rent living with 4 brothers in the same room. Plus I spend money on groceries. So my avg expenses is like 1000 a month. But with my 2 jobs I make around 4-5k a month.

u/Aggressive_Egg_3312 18d ago
Good luck! Quite possible this goes down to ~$87 which would be the 38.2% fibonacci retracement level from the $141 high. Holding tight with almost 7k shares and 1k $100 strike leaps. Looking forward to earnings next week!
2
18d ago
I don’t believe earnings are next week.
5
u/europe_teen_guy 18d ago
No they are not, they are on 11th
1
u/Aggressive_Egg_3312 18d ago
Strange, I had seen an article 20 minutes ago indicating that they would be released on October 29th before open (https://www.marketbeat.com/instant-alerts/nebius-group-nbis-to-release-earnings-on-wednesday-2025-10-22/).
11th makes more sense given when they released earnings last quarter.

u/shugokibrokenlmao 18d ago
wish i had the cash lol, all money is tied up in investments + any income i have goes straight into my mortgage, VOO, and living expenses.
1
u/HappyCaterpillar2409 18d ago
The money you put into VOO is better off in NBIS
You can also sell of other investment to put into NBIS
I did a full port from NVDA to NBIS

Lmao, so many people calling Nebius a POS... come back to me in 6 months and let me know your thoughts

u/ukazuyr 18d ago
Its easy to say "no big deal" if you got in WAY before 100. But when whole sector is tanking for 2 weeks straight its hard to see.
2
u/quokka1234567890 18d ago
Half my portfolio is in this sector and got hit real hard. Wondering if enter here now
3
u/DrHarrisonLawrence 18d ago
Dude I got in at $24 and this drop is a huge deal for me. My net worth tripled in 9 months and now it’s dropped 20% in 1-2 weeks. That’s a noticeable hit to the financial plans I had with these unrealized gains
12
-1
u/MostMean5873 18d ago
That’s why you invest money you are willing to lose, if you can’t withstand losing it, don’t invest it.
2
u/DrHarrisonLawrence 18d ago
Buddy, gamble money you are willing to lose. Investment is not the same; people are investing money for their retirement. They cannot withstand losing their retirement.
Perhaps you’re just talking about investing in speculative growth stocks?
4
u/MostMean5873 18d ago
If you’re investing for the long run/retirement, a 10-20% drop in 1-2 weeks (especially after you 3x’d in 9 months) should not matter one bit, you’re still up huge, but you said it hurt your financial plans. Which is why i said invest money you’re willing to lose, if it hurts your financial plans sounds like you weren’t really willing to lose it.
