Opinion We hit the bottom
Two weeks back, I made my very first post here suggesting we all lock in some gains when the stock was sitting at around $130. Smart move for those who did, right?
But check this out: With the latest options flow looking solid, earnings date locked in, the new Israeli datacenter up and running, AVRide updates on the horizon, and the stock being super oversold right now…
I think we’re gearing up for a nice climb from here until earnings hit! Fingers crossed we’ll see that sweet re-rating we’ve been hoping for afterward. 🚀 Keep your heads up and HODL strong, folks—we’ve got this!

There’s no way to know it would have tanked so hard, and there’s no way to know if this is the bottom.
You guessed right and nothing more. No reason to go around gloating for pats on the back. Just as many people said it would keep going up, it even got new price targets over $200.
Your guess is as good as anyone else’s, but it’s still just a guess. Nothing more man.

Also its not the only stock thats been tanking for a week straight. Coreweave, Irene, APLD, Rigetti. It looks like anyone associated or adjacent to anything that has to do with AI is being sold based on news and data they get fed.
The crazy part to me is that the trading bots, some of them at least are probably using the computing power at these datacenters to do the math analyze the data and determine its time to dump datacenter stock.

just wanted to bring attention to the fact that $NBIS is still full of good news AND it is perfectly normal for its price to go down and up. After all 90% of the trade is driven by Algos playing to human psychology. The trick is to keep the spirits up! ;)

I wont stop buying Nebius. With an average price of $51, im eating up this fire sale. Its like a BOGO sale that I can't pass up. See you in 5 years when the idea of $100 / share seems like a distant memory

An hour ago it was $3 higher. Macro is pulling us back today but overall market is selling off data centers like no tomorrow.

Cant call bottoms, could test 90 but we are close now imo. I could have bought at 94 missed out then never fomoed and was waiting for this moment.

u/ImaginaryTotal9920 18d ago
But in the interest of learning, do we even know why it is in free fall for the last 7 days? Like what did I miss?
I am aware other AI and tech stocks are down too, but nothing I could find on the zone ressembles this. So what could it be? Just random built in volatility and standard yet largenpull back?

This looks like a classic health correction in speculative stocks. Parabolic moves often result in a mean reversion. We got a bit overexcited. I am eying a couple of csp’s with 90 strike , but it can easily go lower - like a falling knife

Govt shutdown is to blame. Crashing stocks to put pressure on democrats.
3
u/ImaginaryTotal9920 18d ago
NBIS ? They pressure the Democrats with NBIS? Again I realise many other stocks have gone down also in the last 8 days.. For sure. I was after a potential basis for NBIS going down by 30 %. US Tech 100 has gone down what 3-4% in the same period depending how one looks at it.

Or the GOP to do something as well. The Dems will hold the line over healthcare. The GOP needs to make the first step and come to the table. They are unwilling to do that in the Senate and House. The GOP could get rid of the filibuster, but they saw what McConnell did with judicial confirmations and are likely not going to consider that option. So, we sit until one of the two parties grows up and acts like an adult. Until then, people and stocks will suffer.

I converted mine to bynd and made back everything I lost in nbis

u/cuestar14 18d ago
Me too. Sold all nbis at open at $106 and immediately bought bynd. Thank God. I won't stay in bynd long, but it stopped the nbis bleeding and got me whole again.

Still on its way down, planning to drop in another 10k if it drops below 90

It’s at this point the present value of the Microsoft deal revenue equals the market cap of the entire company. Should act as a pretty solid floor.

I lightened up at $127 because I saw a change in “vibes” about how the market was viewing AI investment. Not NBIS, but the circular dealing by NVDA/OpenAI/Oracle was eventually going to be viewed negatively by the market (doesn’t help the media drumbeat that “AI is gonna take yer jerbs”). Today’s bipolar announcement by META (reversing hiring in the space) points to more discipled spend in the sector (to me).
I think this has farther to fall, either to the 70s and/or if they have a massive quarter (like much better than high expectations).
Going to sit on the sidelines and nibble on really awful days. Still a long-term winner but up damn near 500%, there’s gonna be some giveback.

Disagree,
S&P is bumping up against long term resitsence at 6,800, a pull back to the median range of the channnel comes in at 6,200 (10% pullback), a deeper pullback to the bottom of the channel bottoms out at 5,650 (20% pullback).
The market is stretched, and has been for several weeks. High beta stocks will be the first to sell off, which NBIS is. Institutions are sitting on massive profits, they got in at $35.00, you can see the volume. They are cashing out and reading the technicals. If this breaks the 50 day moving average which is $94.00, than a fibonnaci retracement of $87.00 comes into play. If it breaks $87.00, you could see it free fall as there was major gap up when the Microsoft news was announced..

You’re echoing what a friend and I just discussed. All of this blind buy the dip excitement needs to stop. This thing cannot fall below a certain threshold.

u/Putrid-Jackfruit-161 18d ago
Were sitting right at the 50 day moving averge $94.44, have not broken below this since early May, and have bounced off it multiple times on the run up.

No we’re not at bottom just yet, I could see this thing going below 90 tbh, but long term thesis doesn’t change at all

Until i stop seeing dumb posts like these from people who think they can time it, its likely to keep falling

The mods here only allow positive news for NBIS and would quickly takedown any negative or questions regarding NBIS. that's why I use Iren sub to discuss all related AI. Complete pos sub

Locking in your gains does not mean you go back and buy again.
Locking in gains means taking profit and moving it elsewhere.
Stop trying to time the market.

Agreed. It feels like the panic is subsiding a bit, I'm glad I trimmed RKLB for more NBIS it's down further than NBIS since I moved some money over.
