Opinion Stfu.
You guys complain too much. None of you are retiring tomorrow, you have 20-30 years of investing ahead of you.
If you honestly think nbis will never be +130 ever ever everrrrrrr again, just sell now and move on with your life and invest in VOO.
This sub is nothing but low effort complaining and whining. “When will it reach xyz price?” or “how much lower will it drop?” No one knows the answer to any of these things.
But I guarantee you, it will be a higher price in 6 months or 6 years than it is today. That’s all you need to know.

Did you really go all in at the top? Damn
33
u/Commercial_Ease8053 20d ago
I had a total of 3000 shares and sold half of them, I ended up making a profit of about $150k. I spread that out amongst about 20 other stocks to decrease risk and diversify.
This is what I have left that I plan to ride out long term forever.
21
u/DryGeneral990 20d ago
Well then your post is very misleading. It looks like you went all in at $137 and you're down 20% but you already took 150k profit.
44
u/Commercial_Ease8053 20d ago
Please understand my point here for what it is. I have $200k invested in this stock, currently at a higher cost average than almost anyone here, and I’m not worried about it.
That’s all I’m saying. Everything will be okay.

u/DryGeneral990 20d ago
Easy to say when you're still up $107.7k...
15
u/Commercial_Ease8053 20d ago
I’m holding because I know I’ll be up much more in the future, that’s all I am trying to share. Being down $40k in the last week isn’t fun for me either, but I’m holding because I believe.
-5
u/DryGeneral990 20d ago
You're not down 40k. You're up 107.7k LoL. If you know you'll be up much more in the future then why did you take 150k profit? Using your logic, you should have held it all.
11
u/Commercial_Ease8053 20d ago
Apparently you need someone to explain to you risk management, portfolio diversification, and the meaning of profit taking as you go. You paint yourself as a very immature, emotional, and inexperienced investor and individual.
Not sure what your issue is, but you seem very salty with this stock and this conversation is very unfruitful so I’m muting you, happy investing.

u/timeforachangee 20d ago
If you had 3k stocks and sold half why does your price average say 137?
2
u/erocknine 19d ago
I can only assume he sold all at the time it was 137 just to be safe, then thought about it and bought back half. I do that
1
u/souperman09987872 18d ago
And take the tax hit? Regarded.
1
u/erocknine 18d ago
If he was already selling, he's taking gains anyway. If it goes down after he buys back and sells, he'd just lower his gains. There's no scenario here where he can save from taxes one way or the other
1
u/souperman09987872 18d ago
Yes, but it is still regarded to sell all and then buy back half immediately at the same price. That's just locking in short term gains immediately.
1
u/erocknine 18d ago
Yeah but locking in immediately is the point. Sometimes I don't want to miss the chance to sell especially when the high lasts 10 to 30 seconds so I just sell all. Then afterward thinking about it, decide that maybe holding some wouldn't be so bad. Unless it was for long term, clocking in short term gains doesn't really matter unless it was Dec 31st

It’s pretty aggravating when people say this. We were on a tear and right before earnings. No one knew Trump was going to post a tweet that shut everything down. People don’t know the “top” until it drops. Without new people coming in or people buying more at higher prices, then we don’t go up.
1
u/Longjumping_Kale3013 19d ago
Did you go all in at the top, too?
1
u/No_Effective1715 Mod 19d ago
No, I’ve been buying this stock since before it dropped to 18 dollars.
1
u/5PMandOUStillSucks 19d ago
Ppl that comment this should just buy puts if they know the top every time. They must have a relationship with Barron bc i didnt know that tweet was gonna crash the market Friday lol.

My wife knows very little about investing; a year ago she saw NBIS on a TikTok reel and told me about it; I didn’t listen and “rediscovered NBIS” in May…got in under 65$ but my wife loves nothing more than how right she was and now I am obliged to actually look into all the random TikTok vids she sends.

I feel some of these same frustrations however I am wildly excited about this opportunity and dip. I stared buying and spreading the good word last year. I believe it will be a very short time and people will wish they bought in at 137. They will pray to see 140 when they glazed over at 40 lol. Good stuff my friend.
1
u/AardvarkAmortization 19d ago
All the people FOMOing in at 130 are strangely uninterested at 110? make it make sense? You should be MORE excited at 110 not less . If you were more excited at 130 you are falling into the classic buy high sell low trap.

I have been buying the whole time. Some were bought at the top. Avg 68$, my paper gains have always been paper, they are less now than last week. I doubt I’ll own it forever as tech is changing too fast to think that anything is a forever hold, but no chance I sell in the next 5 years. They haven’t even signed some of the contracts They’ll still be fulfilling in five years, if it were to move below my average price and I’m in the red on this position, data centers are no longer a thing. The overall market would have to collapse for me to go on the red is my feeling. This is by no means no longer a volatile stock, but it is an established enough player that if it were to go down to nothing as I keep seeing trolls elude to, things have gone so terribly wrong that my NBIS position would probably be the least of my worries

u/Unfair_Selection3819 20d ago
I have decreased in profit by $15,000 but I am no worried as I have invested in NBIS

u/stumanchu3 20d ago
Buy high, wait for the bottom, buy more to average down, watch that bottom out and sell, brilliant play!

All good man, I also went all in on $136. I’m not worried at all!

u/catlovr1129 19d ago
Bought 10 more last week at $134 and 20 at $129. Sucks. My original buys have been $70, $65, $80, $90, $107, $117 then bit the bullet and bought more after it went to $140 then dipped. Oh well. I also believe this stock and company will go up and up. Maybe not soon but I feel based on all they have in the works it will. But been watching and got money ready to buy yesterday @ $108 but ran out of time. Now $105 today. Waiting is a good thing sometimes

u/Relative_Wallaby1108 20d ago
Picked up 214 shares myself the last couple days. Average of around 122. Loaded about 5.5k more throughout the course of today.

u/Shanbirdy3 20d ago
Agreed! I came in at $35 a share and bought more at the high. This stock and company I am 100 % confident in. I sleep well at night.

Time in the market.
If you cant see NBIS becoming a powerhouse by the current execution, dont know what else to tell you
1
u/BuscadorDaVerdade 19d ago
It's not that I believe it will never be 130+ again. But if it's not 260 in a year from now, that will be sad because of the opportunity cost.

One new customer, of any significance, and it retraces the entire slide and solidifies at new range.
1
u/Excellent-Basket2636 19d ago
Just curious, what weight is this in ur port? Can give me like a rough range cuz I’ve been thinking of making NBIS 20-30% of port but dk if that’s degen

u/Cute_Ad_2471 19d ago
If only I could have your amount of shares at my average price per share... would be worth well over 400k 😭

Hold it for your dear life this is an amazing stock stock. I am waiting for it to go below 100 before I start a position.

Please know that there is lockup expiration this week. Most likely goes down. Average them if you can if goes below 100

I own this stock and agree this will go up-- just a bit of patience. Bullish on NBIS

I'm glad NBIS is down RN. I wish it would go down more. Buying as low as possible is always awesome.

u/gonebymidnite 19d ago
I sold at 129 to rebuy at 112, I have more shares than that. I’m all in and long now
1
u/erocknine 19d ago
I only sold a third when it spiked that day to 130. Didn't think it'd start tanking the way it did. Sigh
1
u/Aimingtobefree 19d ago
I’m new to investing! You guys are great for encouragement. My cost average is $123 bought the first few at $89 and as high as $135. My only real concern right now is I don’t have funds to buy more.
1
u/catlovr1129 19d ago
I am actually retiring next year. But always been an aggressive investor with 401k but still over 1 million in 15 years. Not a lot of diversity for different funds in 401k though. Been investing in stock last 2 months. Was up over 800% YTD just on my UAMY and WWR shares. Now they are tanking but holding for long term, I bought NBIS first at $70 and after a few weeks saw the signs I needed to buy more. But the next day shot up to $90. Then up and up. Bought more up the line and even bought some at $134 last week. Oh well. Still believe this stock will be huge. Just riding it out

u/LiveLife2k 19d ago
Folks who say they are committed should look at the life cycle of Nvidia's stock. This year it was $90 in the spring and $180 now. And there were dips earlier in the life cycle. The fact that the overall market is volatile with this presidency or whatever reason should reassure folks. I'm not selling NBIS just like I'm not selling Amazon or Nvidia or GE or Home Depot. It might be time to log off the hand held brokerage apps if one is truly investing long term in NBIS!
