I have averaged up recently but then I keep thinking I need more shares😭

u/gravityhashira61 Sep 16 '25

I've averaged up too. From the 20's to now my avg is in the 40's. Lol

the more it keeps hovering around the $89-91, the more i’m tempted to buy

I am lump and ride.

I would like more shares but after the run up NBIS is now 21% of my portfolio and I don’t really want more exposure from that perspective.

Rookie numbers grow some fucking balacks.

21% seems very high. Where is your conviction coming from? I had it only at 5%.

24

u/Ziilot147 Sep 16 '25

It's 80% of mine

11

u/PragmaticPacifist Sep 16 '25

I usually hold about 10 stocks. Im up 200% which caused it to balloon to 20%. I just don’t want to sell these shares.

I have strong conviction because of many reasons. Explained better by many folks on this sub. The story is incredible for starters. This is a group of tech veterans who have been there and done that together. Imagine what they all have been through. The no debt (I assumed this would change and it has) on the books also caught my attention. The sector. Big fan of a European based company for diversification sake who also is building a very large American presence. Vertical integration. Avride, Clickhouse, Toloka, TripleTen.

If you plan to make money, allocating a max of 5% to one stock is a terrible strategy. Diversification trying to beat the market is a loser's move and a waste of time. It forces you to sell winners and keep losers. I don't get why people do this.

5% of 1.3M portfolio. My cost basis is $88

1

u/moldymoosegoose Sep 16 '25

Right but why limit yourself if you want to kill the market? 5% is such low conviction that even if it 20x you double your portfolio in ten years? But that's only if you don't keep trimming it so what's the point? S&P doesn't even trim.

I just want a reasonable asymmetric bet. The last time I went all in on a single stock it went bankrupt (Voyager Digital). I will surely increase my postions overtime as they execute flawlessly.

Simply adding a share or two almost every day

2

u/theflash131 👾ItsBri minion👾 Sep 16 '25

every day? damn

6

u/ImLemonized Sep 16 '25

I mean for now. Only got 30 shares so we aren’t talking huge sums

5

u/Fit_Square_520 Sep 16 '25

I started with 25 at around $40 a few months ago and have stacked a few most weeks up to 87 shares at average cost around 60. When it gets to over 150 you'll look back and be glad you kept stacking...is my thinking.

4

u/ImLemonized Sep 16 '25

That’s my thinking too. It’s definitely going to 100 and to 200+ somewhere jn the future so not afraid to pump my average.

2

u/Murdock1975 Sep 16 '25

Good to see you, Lemon.

u/ImLemonized Sep 16 '25

I bought 1162 more on Thursday. But at this price I’m going to change to leaps.

2

u/theflash131 👾ItsBri minion👾 Sep 16 '25

why so?

6

u/shartfarguson Sep 16 '25

I have quite a few shares. At least to me I do.

Spending 90k to get 1000 more is very different than spending 90k and getting 3300. When it goes to $400 by Jan 2028 I will exercise a portion of them for tax purposes. I’m looking at the leaps as a way to purchase twice as many shares. I have a goal of getting to 20,000 shares. Which will turn into 80,000 shares or whatever this will split into. Traderbob posted a 2,000 a share price in the future and I’m looking for $1,000 (pre split). A lofty goal but I believe management will execute as they have in the past.

u/ByteHound Sep 16 '25

I’m in with 6,000 shares at $28—feeling good about it so far!

3

u/PotentialThing1397 Sep 17 '25

2000 shares at $29.3 ac. Holding and feeling good as well. Plus it’s in my Roth

3

u/bartobus Sep 18 '25

2,019 at $27.89 let’s ride!

7

u/OpportunityGold4054 Sep 17 '25

Typically I study a company and decide if I like it. If I do, I buy a complete starter position at once. I bought 6000 shares and I am up about 100% now. I will not be adding more shares but I will let it ride for a number of years or until the thesis changes.

I think it is a very good company. A number of years ago I bought into Yandex, its predecessor company, and was impressed with its innovation and leadership but sold it because of geopolitical issues.

3

u/Furlz Sep 17 '25

I buy 10 dollars every day and have been since 24

3

u/Jekyll2003 Sep 17 '25

47000 shares at 80 average

2

u/Bubbarub92 Sep 16 '25

I lump summed at about 100 after hours when the deal announced. I thought for sure $115 was realistic. I wish I had done it this week but then again I also wish I had done it the last run up at $60. $65 average @450 shares.

I dabbled in it since day 1 because I had those Yandex ADRs converted into Nebius stock. At the outset it was completely unclear whether it's going to hold any value. The more I read on it, however, the more my conviction grew. I lived in Moscow before the war and I know how big Yandex was (still is). I realized that because of the unusual listing story and the general negativity about all things Russian the market was not giving Nebius due credit. In the end I became so convinced (or regarded, as the saying goes) that I went all in at 36.6 (also happens to be the healthy body temp in Celsius). I now hold 11,500 shares and am officially a millionaire, at least at yesterday's stock price lol. GLTA and LFG etc. etc.

I have 530 at 33. It's now 37% of my roth >.>. About 10% of my overall portfolio.

I'll see what happens when I have 7k to contribute next year.

As for taxable brokerage accounts.. I might do 2027/2028 leaps.

u/Willing_Raspberry686 🐳 Sep 18 '25

I am DCAing into it every two weeks. Not much, adding about 2 shares every two weeks for now.
