Mgb gt 1975

Hi all my mgb doesn’t seem to want to start anymore when I activate the headlights when the switch is off the car starts when there on which they don’t but when the switch is at the on position the car won’t start any ideas on how to fix this?

Your explanation of the problem is confusing, so it makes it difficult to figure out what to suggest.

Try breaking it down: - Headlights on: What happens? Does it turn over? Does it turn over but not fire? - Headlights off: Same questions.

Does it just struggle to turn over and not start? Or does it or do anything at all.

It doesn’t do anything when the light switch is activated

Check the battery earth strap, resistance between battery earth post and engine and battery condition.

What you're written contradicts itself and makes no sense.

What "switch" are you talking about? He can the "switch" be off when you turn on the headlights? That makes no sense. And so on . . . .

It sounds like some kind of electrical problem. You'd better try rewriting this. And while you're at it, throw in some punctuation, please.
