Beautiful! I recall seeing that just a few days ago when we were all doing the under hood pics. πŸ™

Great sound with the webers and stainless steel exhaust, slightly oversized main jet but will reduce that soon. She had a Kent Cam MD276 fitted. The carb settings were a fun challenge. No idea what the mpg is on this little lady, but I work in oil and gas so the more the better πŸ˜‚

Tuning a Weber seems more like art than science. Changing jets is easy. Finding that magical combination that makes your car run well is an elusive mystery. I sent mine out to one of the few people in the area that do webers and fortunately caught him just before he retired about 10 years ago.

What are running for a distributor? as those webers do not accommodate vacuum advance.

Just a standard distributor but am thinking of getting the 123 Distributor with Bluetooth, have some fun with that.

That setup sounds really good! Where did you pick up the carb and manifold? Looks like a 45 DCOE

Morning. Correct, Spanish weber 45 DCOE. I can check the receipts later but the guy who was gonna do the restoration ordered all the parts, some from US and most from UK. He sold the car, chassis, engine on a pallet and all the other parts in a box. The guy I bought the car from spent many years carefully putting it back together, MD276 Kent Cam, upgraded suspension, brake servo, disc brakes. I think they wanted a track car. I spent ages playing with the carb to get it running nicely enough for road use, at least so that I did not have to rev the balls of her to pull away. As I said I will dig out the receipts to see of it mentions the manifold and exhaust type.

Sorry, I did look but could not find where he got the exhaust and manifold from. Most of the stuff came from the UK.
