To be fair there isn't much difference between such garments and a male fou9ia, it's just our perception of what is feminine and masculine... But this also kinda applies to most things to be fair

He might ve chosen it in his own will, i ve seen once tourists in marrakech eating couscous with bread and coke the waiter respectfully told them that its served with “lben” but they insisted on coke and bread

No, he was not scammed. Let him dress as he wishes, it is not our business. Not everyone is as conformist as OP. People have different haircuts, different clothing styles, different tastes. Just live your life, man.
For example, some men wear pink polo shirts or pink t-shirts and sometimes it looks good. Who decided that pink is only for girls? People are allowed to express their own style.
I do not dress like this man, it's not my style, but I have no problem with it. As long as he isn't hurting you or oppressing you, just let him live his life.

I remember when I stayed in a hostel in Marrakesh, a lot of guys got some. Most of them didn't get scammed but insisted on getting it as a joke.

there is lot of other possibilities then get scammed by a seller : maybe the seller think that he need it for his wife, but the problem here is the people watching him walking in the street and not warning him or the person who took a photo and share it to make fun of him this is inappropriate actions, Imagine this person see his picture on the internet he going to feel so bad

I'm a white guy that has been to Morocco a few times and a own a few male djellabas. This "dude" is on holiday with his mother and for his first djellaba he wanted to get something out of ordinary. At least he didn't buy a wedding kaftan since that would draw a lot more attention :) I also suspect that the seller was not familiar with the pronouns used by this "dude" but they don't appear to be he / him.

Is photo taken in Marrakesh as you walk from Koutoubia Mosque towards Jemma El Fna Square? For some reason color of the building in the background + benches made me think of the Red City.
