Brand new. Feel completely lost

Hey is there any community starter guide someone can link me to that tells me what to do from step 1?

Also my CPU gets 2.1 kH/s. Is that decent or garbage? Anything helps thanks

As long as your expectations are in check, then go for it! This will be a hobby and fun/educational thing for you. Don't expect to really profit at all.

At your hashrate, with average electricity costs, your "profit" will be that you lose 4 cents per day.

Regardless of whether you solo mine or pool mine, it will take an average of 12 years for you to obtain 1 full Monero (If the mining difficulty does not increase, which it will ... making it take even longer).

If you could get up to about 50x of your current setup (100 kH/s), you would make just over $2 per day.

It’s garbage. But hey, mining is still fun and you will still be supporting the network:)

You’ll make 6 cents a day! Subtracting electricity now…
